=)

it was officially the first ww2 battle(if you don't count the invasion of china "1937")
3000 germans against less than 200 poles,
the battle ended after 7 days of fierce combat. result: germany winning with the loss of 300 men against 15 losses of the poles, the poles lost because they ran out of ammunition.

Battle of normandy, because I've been there, and the addition of hedgegrows, sealing of parts of land makes it that more fun to build.

what about Lenningrad and Stalingrad?

The battle of the bulge, or the Ardennes offensive of December 1944 simply because, at least in the first few days, it showed the world just how powerful German tanks in their element could be. There is a story that a jagd tiger's round failed to explode, but hit a Sherman with such force that it cracked open the hull and shunted it back several feet. Another piece of evidence as to the incredible superiority of German designs is the fact that no king tiger tanks were ever lost to frontal enemy fire, and very few were destroyed by enemy rounds at all, either running out of fuel, breaking their transmitions or even having a building collapse on them!
