Seriously, things are really slow in this group! Not many people have accepted the invitations, and a few haven't even responded yet. Does anybody have anysuggestions on how things could improve? Honestly, I don't think I'm doing a very good job running this group. HELP!!!!!

I don't know, you're doing fine, I guess. Part of the reason that not many invitations get accepted might be because a lot of things that get MOTD are really old and were made by people who don't visit this site anymore.

By the way, I won't be offended if anybody agrees with me on this. If you think something needs to change, please speak up!

You're doing fine. I don't know what you want or expect from this group in the way of action. Aside from patting ourselves and each other on the back because the random number generator has singled out one of our MOCs before, what logically is there to do? We're a pretty diverse group to throw contests or building challenges at and expect a huge response. And as has been pointed out, a lot of MOTDs are older creations by people that have moved on. After the initial burst, new members will be slow in coming.

Indeed, Shannon. Also, this is a very busy time of year for a lot of people. For example, I'm trying to keep up with school, two "summer" jobs, piano, and mowing our lawn. (Which takes about six hours on a ride-on)

May not sound like much, but I haven't even been able to take pictures of a diorama I made two weeks ago...

Thanks, everyone! I don't mean to sound impatient or paranoid, but I would just hate to see this become one of those groups where nothing ever happens, and nobody ever goes. If anyone ever sees something that could improve, please point it out!

Maybe an idea for a contest (even if I never find the time to do contests unfortunately) : each builder could try to do a V2 of his MOCTD (his favorite one if he got more than one), the winner would be the one who has improved the most his MOC,in the most interesting way. Just an idea :-)

I second that idea!
