So I've got an idea of what I should order (based on what I've started to build) But can any of you recommend must have parts (or kits) for mecha building?

T-bars, upright clips, 1x1 4 stud bricks, 1x1 2 stud bricks, Tons of tiles and cheese slopes, curves and bows, and 1x1 plates with knobs.

My parts preferences are a little different... of course get T pieces, headlight bricks, 5 stud 1x1 bricks, 3 stud 1x1 bricks, modified 1x1 vertical clips, lots of cheese slopes and 1x1 tiles, 1x1 and 1x2 plates, lamp holders, and 1x1 plate clips. Basically all those little 1x1 and 1x2 pieces are extremely important in small mecha building. Get as many one stud wide slopes as possible, especially inverted slopes. Personally I try to go for lots of smooth and inverted one stud wide slopes.
