Bio-BuildOff-Athon, Round 1
This is a great theme idea! I can't wait to see what the contestants make of this, but I have a question: in the case of the Rahi, is there a length restriction as well as a height restriction?

Question 1: Must there only be 1 Rahi? Or can you use 2? (Like 2 Horses pulling a chariot.)

Question 2: Can we even make a chariot? Or must the Master sit on it? (If he/she rides it.)

Question 3: Must the Rahi be organic? or can it be a cyborg or completely artificial that can turn into a vehicle?

I may still have more questions I haven't thought of yet.
Thanks.

I can at least answer question 3 with an outline.
" Your tamed Rahi can be absolutely anything you want, the more creative the better!"
As for one and two, Kai should answer but I figure it's one Rahi, and a riding harness or chariot wouldn't demish the relationship between a master and his/her Rahi I figure.

So the Rahi could be INVISIBLE? I guess not. Thanks.

I've got something really good planned, and it looks great from what i've built so far. The rahi has a bit to go and havent started on THE MASTER!!!

This is a nice theme thought I'm not good with creatures, but since my master is ready and I have a creature idea, I'll start building!

A question, If My master is under the 20cm mark and the rahi is over the 20cm mark, but when they are put together like the master rides the rahi, and is under the 40cm mark does it still qualify?

eg. master is 18cm, rahi is 25cm, altogether they are 35 becasue of how they are joined.

ok well i plan to post my moc up today. but when they are sitiing on top of each other it is only like 28 cm. The rahi itself is 23 because of The seat thing, like a saddle. and my master is 17 cm.
that reaches 40 exactly....Wait..how do they manage to lose height?. Oh yeah because of the saddle that sits around the master!

Here's My entry. Is it all right if i had the master shorter then the 20cm so that the rahi can be over the 20 by the amount the master is under?

So, bond eh? Are you looking for the bond between both of them?

All right! Since Toa Atraks and Infrax have both submitted their entries, I'm placing my vote. Before I get to that, though, let me say that where you both could easily have improved is the "bond" between the two components of your entries. A bit of creative writing would have helped explain why the two partners are together.

I vote for Infrax!
It seemed like he used more complex building techniques.

In other news, I finished what was going to be the Rahi half of my duo, but it turned out differently than I expected and didn't fit the contest description, so I'll post it separately later and start over.

Good luck in Round 2 Infrax! The topic will be super-challenging. Actually, there will be a MINIMUM size limit.

I had made the rule for judges to make their voting on the weekend at the end of the round, because that way contestants that have yet to submit don't get an idea of what the judges are looking for. Then they would know what perhaps they have to excel in for quality if they see one creation get voted for over another, then compare what they are working on to their opponent.

So from now on please keep the voting to the weekend at the end. Your vote for Infrax I figure can stay for fairness though.

Well, might want to hurry up Chris. The 25th is ending here and I'm going to need to leave on Sunday for camp. I think it's fair to say that the contest will end tomorrow morning (my time) so there is enough time for judging.

Don't mean to be pushy; I just want to be around for judging :)

Good luck to all!

It's still the 25th, so until my clock changes to 26th, I've still got time :P

Kinda funny though, the only times I have time to build are on weekends. Provided they're not occupied by something else lol

Yes, I threw the lame excuse card in. Back to building!

Yep, but since it seems most of us go by MOCPages time (which I think is PST), I tend to go with that to be fair to others. Otherwise it would have ended an hour and a half ago for me :P

The orginal idea was to go by MocPages time so that personal local times would not factor into having a Moc in on time. For fairness I say the round should end when MocPages says it's Saturday =D

Sure thing. I was just letting y'all know that I won't be here on sunday (13 more hours) =P

13 more hours... wait a sec, are you in NZ too?

Also great job on handling this one. You never know when unruly contestants show up, and that my admin status does not grant any special privileges either ;)

And for the other pairing, I vote for Overlord Galaxus! I loved both entries, but it seemed like Galaxus' entry was a bit better organized. And with Kai's vote, I believe that this makes a majority! Good luck in the finals, Overlord Galaxus!

Topic Hint #2: Our entrants have already been tested on their abilities to make humanoids and Rahi. What is the one remaining type of bio-MOC that you might find as a set in your local Toys-R-Us?

Alright, now that round is done, I'll just lock this thread whilst the next round topic is created. Probably does bug me a little as to how organisation fits into the creation of a MOC, but I guess one had to get to the nitty gritty to determine the winner. Just hope I don't get blasted by those guys that said I was 'pwnt' when they hadn't even seen my entry yet :P
