Well they look kind of... odd. Well, at least we get to say goodbye to those stupid pre-bent limbs!

GOODBYE PRE-BENT LIMBS!

Unfortunately, those limbs may just be large prefabs

I dont like the masks
But a new head instead of glatorian could be intresting
Best one is breeze for pieces by the looks of it

There is nothing wrong with being hopeful but there's something that's just a bit too naive-there is no way that they will revive BIONICLE, as they have discontinued the theme, issued a letter abuot it, and replaced it. It's gone-over. The storyline was just getting old-the Glatorian was practically a different them, and only BIONICLESTORY.com and the last few comics connected it to the rest of the world.

someone took negative pills today they discontinued space police and pirates and they came back why not bionicle? bionicle sold better than most of the other themes they're probably just holding them back so they can sell them for more when they re release them.

They didn't bring back space police. They brought back space (the space police are totally different). Space and Pirates are both core themes, some of LEGO's oldest themes. BIONICLE is not.

Hank: I am hopeful. BUT- there are a few key differences. Aside from the fact that the new Space Police is made looking like something out of some kids tv action show.
1. LEGO never issued a letter about the ending of any theme, other than BIONICLE.
2. LEGO never announced the end of themes-they did with BIONICLE
3. LEGO made BIONICLE go out with a pop, not a bang-the stars were awful
4. Space is a Classic Theme, as are Pirates, Castle, and City/Town. BIONICLE is relatively new, and while important, it isn't key. The TECHNIC lines supplement it's income, but SYSTEM is the most important thing for LEGO.

Lego will usually try their best to please fans, if Hero Factory doesn't get enough money or popularity, they'll find the problem, and try to fix it. But Lego has it under control, as someone suggested above, I agree, that they could bring Bionicle back. Maybe they were simply out of ideas for the story, or designs, or characters.

I just had a thought: Lego is being racist to MOCers, or at least complex MOCers.

See how the "Good" guys are all simple kits, whilst the "Villians" are all larger, more complex kits. I think this suggests that Lego is saying that the more complex the MOC, the eviler it is. And thus, those who build Complex MOCs...

(Ha, I hope you realize that this is just a joke from something I noticed. Take no offence ;))

I'm doubtful...they wouldn't hold them back, AND use another line, they'd just wait a few months, to build up anticipation. They've gone all out on hero factory, what with games and even a TV mini-series, so something tells me that even if Hero Factory gets kicked out, Bionicle isn't coming back. (Sorry to be a pessimist)

As for these new Hero Factory...things...I like the 2010 ones better. They may have been "simple" but they were really kinda cute in their own way, they brought a bit of lighthearted life into the sets. These things look cold and, frankly, TOO robotic. The villains look Ben 10ish, period. But whatever, life goes on! Thanks for the pics anyway!

That's true. I even think Greg said something like "for the meantime, there will be no more sets", so, maybe, we'll get some more Bionicle sets in the future (with a better storyline)
P.S.

Wow, lots of new pieces here. I liked the new joint system, and there's some intersting trans pieces on jetbug. The new iron man head is a little weird, and the glatorian hand ssens to have a slight different mold, with a hole between the connection point and the thumb, and five fingers, including the thumb... It's also good to see that the armor is removable from the leg, and not a single piece...

There's also a Furno review on BZPower...

Jetbug does have some interesting looking pieces, but Stormer looks unbelievably bland. It's starting to look more like Playmobil -.-

Fact: The Hero Factory story is still garbage.

However, there are definitely some juicy new pieces that would make for some great design, but would make greebling a TOTAL pain. I don't even see any X-holes on those joints!

Lego certainly dosen't have elaborate MOCers as their audience on these...

Actually, they're a little more diffcult do MOC with, since the connection has changed (the armor and pieces connect via socket and pins, the same type as used in minifig accesorries), but that doesn't mean it's bad. Actually, I think its a nice move from Lego trying to innovate somehow and this open more possibilities and encourage MOCists creativity. I'm looking foward to them...

yeah, but you just gotta ignore the story. Lego has several lines, and you don't follow all their stories. Actually, many of them don't have any story at all! I myself only began to follow and learn about the Bionicle story in 2006, and I collected it since the very beginning, and I myself think the parts after 2008 were terrible (although it had a lot of potential)... So, now I just look for the pieces, and this Hero Factory line has been bringing a lot of good pieces...

I see where you're coming from, but when you've followed the Bionicle story since 2001, Hero Factory is an enormous letdown.
| December 17, 2010, 11:04 am
Story-wise, Hero Factory is quite dull. There wasn't much story, there haven't been the multitude of books, comics, animations, and other media. There also haven't been games (MNOG, MNOG II, and VNOG were all awesome) that tell the true story-just one or two simple HF games that aren't even that great and one half-decent one. As for parts, the 2010 HF isn't great for parts. 2011 has a totally new system that doesn't appeal to me, but it does have many useful parts that I could use in my system MOCs.

Well, I don't know why Lego would sell itself to Disney... Their partnership is already good enough, and its even growing with this Pirates of The Caribbean upcoming line, so...

BUt, if they did it one day, I don't see any problem at that. Apart from the musical and Tv part, Disney usually does good stuff, and their filosofy is pretty compatible with Lego's one... Also, there would be more Marvel lines, wich would be good...

No, I don't think they would do that... Lego doesn't make famous people, only movie characters... And disney, at least, keep these stars in tv and some home-video-directly movies... Also, I think, or at least I hope, this Bieber thing will pass with time, just like it was with the Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montana... But there could be also some great lines, like Tron, classic disney movies and maybe even Mickey and friends... I would love to see a steam boat set or a Fantasia based one...

My 9-year-old brother just had his birthday party and got THREE HF 2.0 sets! He got Drilldozer, Surge 2.0, and Nex 2.0. I have to say that the new parts are absolutely amazing. Though there's a lack of + and O holes, the new method of attaching everything through balls and sockets (new socket design, too) will add new dimensions to bio-MOCing when combined with the older parts. If there are any questions you'd like to ask, go ahead. : )

Went to LEGOLAND, my brother got Stormer 2.0 and Breez 2.0. I really don't like them-the armor looks like it's just an attachment and doesn't give the appearance of solid armor-especially from the back. There are MANY useful parts, and some new versions of system weapons that I'll probably get Drilldozer for, but the lack of variety and actual building means that titans and other guys won't happen. There can't be variety without weird and ugly results except in color and weapons. There isn't any building to speak of. I do like the arms, but unless I can add armor to them with axles and tubes, no point.

I went to Legoland(California) about 2 years ago, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Best part is, a new one's coming to FLORIDA! My home state, baby! :D And I think I heard it will be the biggest one yet, I can't wait till next fall when it opens! :D

What you need to do is try combining HF 2.0 parts with older Bionicle parts. I'm waiting for the BioBuildoffs' Pool #4 topic to be released so I can start experimenting in my entry.

I'm gonna be making a life-sized Witch Doctor costume that is more epic than the set and it will have an actual inversed leg system that I'm making by hand as well. He will have glowing red eyes and the mouth will move with mine, plus Just like my witch doctor set it will have the prototype version of his staff [will make several to sell some staves, also will accept comissions to make more witch doctor costumes for about $3,000 hopefully I'm successfull] Lol, lemme know what you think. Will make updates as I make it, this is a long-term project for me and will take a while to save up without a job. *-* lol
