Hero Factory
I have found some blurry photos of what may be Bionicle's second replacement. It's called Hero Factory.

You are absolutely right! I did some more searching on the web and found more pictures(just as blurry though, if not more) and I must say, they look almost exactly like Bionicles!

Saying that the Bionicle line is being discontinued is like saying Bionicle is discontinued every time they make a new line. The Hero Factory and the Ben 10 sets ARE Bionicles, just with different names.

Well... technically Bionicle line has ended. The LHF(Lego Hero Factory) is a brand new story line(probably more of the superhero story lines than the exotic alien race lines). So there is a difference. Similarity is only in the bionicle compatible parts. I'm guessing the comics or animation will now involve real human characters with human names in superhero suits(more like the power rangers) rather than the robotic looking bionicles.

It's nice to see that they are replacing Bionicle with an equally AWESOME looking bunch of sets, not just those Ben 10 things.

I mean, if they were gonna do Ben 10, why not the old aliens? The new "Alien force" or whatever totally ruined Ben 10, and marked the time I stopped watching cartoons. Why Ben 10, why!?! :P

These look awesome, I'm really happy that lego is making some new Technic models, that are not Ben Fricken 10! As much as I love Bionicle the story line was getting really bad, breaking down, too many plot holes! And now something that looks just as good as Bionicle, but with a new story! These remind me of the Old Technic models, i don't know why but they do!

The basic sets XXXX!
What, thier limbs have NO JOINTS just like old Toas, or the mor recent Agori. They just added cool armor on them. The body part is only suitable for Hero Factory themed builds (unless that "H" is removable).
Except for the heads, they look almost useless for MOCing.
Let's hope bigger sets will be better.

What are you talking about, they look awesome! They may have pre-bent joints, but their feetand hands and shoulders and hips are poseable, only the knees and elbows aren't! And there are awesome masks, that do fit Glatorian heads, and they seem large, so they may fit Metru heads, plus the awesome new weapons! More over it looks like the H is removable! It was, quite possibly sarcasm on top of sarcasm, but I may have to agree with Yuri on the negative aspects. These are Agori, where are the actual Heroes?

That said, I'll probably buy at least a couple to see if they fit anything. We'll probably have a contest for making the Hero line better anyway.

In my opinion, agori size is ok with as long as its cheaper and composed of many new parts. As compared to the more pricey Toa size Glatorians who have LESS new parts and are just recolored parts, with Hero Factory, there are many new parts: mask, body, limbs, feet, weapons, armor.

So which has a better value for a mocer?

Definety, the Hero Factory than the old bionicle set where we have seen a rehash of old mold such as the so-so inika body, old feet designs, old limbs...

I see no problem Lego retaining many bionicle mocers and collectors to this new line as well as gaining new ones.

I really liked the glatorian sets even without many new parts. Their armor was mostly uniform, giving you at least four of the same part, which comes in handy so you don't have to buy as many sets. but I also like new parts like the hero factory sets will have.

Actually the limbs (although technically Agori limbs) look new, I think there are new joints, pre-bent or not, and new armor, as well as some nifty new feet! And the weapons look awesome!!!!! hopefully the masks are good, they look good, but you know how it goes! But these look like they'll be a sufficient source for Bionicle parts, which is nice, Ben 10 just doesn't cut it! too bad it isn't out until August, but I bet if I look around a bit I could find them as early as March!

1. I despise the new feet. There really isn't a good reason, but they look bulky and remind me of robotic Spider- Man feet I got years ago in a Mega- Bloks set.
2. Anyone remember Rescue Heros? They fought bad weather, saved people from burning buildings, ect.? These Hero Factory sets remind me of them. Same bulky, disproportionate bodys, same H symbols on their chests, same cheesy, weather- based names... What could it mean?

I'm not saying that Bionicle proportions were ever realistic, but rather that Hero Factory proportions are similar to that of Rescue Heroes- large feet, bulky bodys, similarly sized arms, ect.

Well, the good guys have almost all new molds, the villains use ben 10 and some older pieces and new molds.

After seeing Tahu's more streamlined, redone mask, does anyone else think they should bring back mask packs, with them being redone like Tahu's? I'd like to, just to get Lewa's in black.

What idiot decided to end Bionicle for the sole purpose that something worse could replace it? Bionicle was the bomb. Honestly, what's the point of killing Lego's best-ever theme if you're going to make more anyway but end the epic storyline-the key ingredient that has given it 4 movies and a cult following?

so true, i definatly agree with this. the only good that will come from hero factory is the villians.

Oh but come on, the villains look really cool! Have you seen Von Nebula, or X-plode? Well they're really cool looking, the good guys are kinda "meh" but the baddies look awesome!

The baddies do look cool, but they look like Barraki because of the little armour they have.
I also took a closer look at Von Nebula and it looks like he will have a Tridax pod style torso and reversed knees with the pistons in front. His arms are VERY short. Also the Hero Factory website has been launched. They've already released building instructions

I'm sure many of you have seen this already, but if you want to look at more pictures of the new sets (ALL of them) here's the link to the website: http://herofactory.lego.com/en-US/Products/Default.aspx#7164

Oh yeah, well, I don't need pictures anymore, c'cuz I have some of them!!! The heroes anyway. Today I bought Jimi Stringer, Preston Stormer, and Natalie Breez!!! I'm sooooo happy (to a certain extent anyways). Sadly the "titans" weren't in stock, and my meager budget prevents me from getting all of the heroes, but still, half of 'em is not bad! Plus, as much as everyone above me is ranting about them most likely being terrible, they're actually pretty good, for what they are! I'll post reviews (maybe) soon!

I can't say I like the idea, but I believe that the purpose of ending the storyline and keeping the "sets" was two fold. Firstly, to allow people who aren't familiar with the Bionicle storyline to be able to enjoy the sets. Secondly, to open their horizons to younger children, because, you have to agree, the current bionicle storyline is convoluted. Very convoluted. Maybe not a crowd pleasing decision, but for lego, in the long run, I'm pretty sure it'll make a lot more money.

What about the torsos? Having the large "H" emblem on the front, do you still they are still good for MOCing?

Unfortunately, I have not been able to find any HF sets, but *if* I do, the first small set I buy will be William, and the first large one will be Meltdown or Thunder.

Sadly, it seems the sets have not come to the Wal-mart I go to.

I predict in a week are two we will be able to find them at Wal-mart. Were we live (And most other places I believe.) all new Legos tend to come through Toy R Us first.

I was excited about these sets but i've seen some reviews and 3 of the sets have a hollow limb. (I'm sure that some of you know this already.) You have to buy two of the silver/white/black sets to get two silver/white/black glatorian fists. I'm disappointed.

Y'know, once I think about t, I kind of agree...It seems that Bionicle has already used up all the ideas already...There doesn't seem to much left for Hero Factory to play with...

And the sets aren't that exciting to play with, for the lack of size and flexibility.

Hey, having the large "H" in the center of them, are the torsos all right for Bio-MOCing? I haven't bought any of the sets yet.

If covered well, the 'H' won't stab the eye. And otherwise, if your name starts with H, you can make a superheroish self-moc =p Seriously, the parts are descendants of bionicle and there are no rules to not use them.

Well what I meant was whether or not it would look good, but I totally understand, Is it true that you have to buy two of the same sets to get two Glatorian fists? Are the fists attached to the weapons?

I got my friend 2 good hero factory dudes for his birthday and they were sooooo awkward! I mean 1 of the arms was just a piece of plastic connected to the normal toa hands. And it was ONLY HALF DONE! Now I see why they are only 8 dollars! I think the Bionicle stars even had better pieces! Luckly I hope that the $20.00 sets have better pieces.

Got Furno and Xplode. Those spikes on his arms and back are good for a spiky shield, and you can fit three on a small three-way piece. I made a spiked mace for Dietos using them. In any case, the main torso is great.

I can say without a shadow of doubt that the Hero Factory sets that I own are probably the most awesome "Action figure"-type sets I have owned in a long time.
