Simple Uploader Problem
Join to comment
Hello, I am new to this site and have been adding some things for the past few days. This morning I got up and decided to dedicate the day to uploading some new stuf but the simple uploader doesn't seem to be working every time I try I get this message:

But we couldn't upload these images:
IMG_1502 (480x640).jpg

(Remember, you can only upload JPG, GIF, and PNG images.) Make sure your files end in ".jpg", ".jpeg", ".gif", or ".png".

Photo corrupt? Some programs like LDRAW and Flickr sometimes save images files in odd ways, so try re-saving them or converting them to JPG files.

I would very much appreciate some help with this. Thank You

I haven't used the uploader for a little while, so can't say if it's currently having issues, but I can say that in the past when the simple uploader has been struggling it has given this message even when the uploaded files are perfectly okay.

What program did you save the files with?

Never mind, I just tried it, it's busted, again.

I guess I'll add my own issue here, since it's sort of related.

I'm having some uploader issues. With the fancy loader it goes through the progress like it should, but when the last panel comes where you choose the main image, all the images are broken links. When I finish the process, the html code comes, but the images have no dimensions and are broken links in page preview.

Somewhat same for the old uploader, however after going through the upload progress, it shows no uploaded images nor the html code.

Help! I just posted a new moc (http://mocpages.com/moc.php/358744) and the main pic won't upload (nor would anything else)

This is for a contest, with a cash prize, and I really need votes! I can't add the moc to the group, so I could lose this round because of this mocpages uploader problem! Can somebody manually fix my moc? I'm in a close 2nd place, but if I can't get this to work, I'll lose D:

Have you brought it up in the group about this issue so that you can get an extension on the round since the uploader is acting funny? You might want to start there.

Logan.
The uploader is down and has been down for quite a while now. Just sit back and relax. Sean is working on it already.

Uploader is down = no types of picture files will work.

If you have a Flickr account, you can copy the html code and paste it into the description of your MOC and you'll have some pictures. But know that the title picture will not show.

Yeah, I kinda gave up on the simple uploader. It hasn't worked for a while, but no one listened! Anyways, I just use the Fancy new Uploader. Its actually easier to use.

I'm trying to upload photos on the simple uploader right now in the JPG form, and I'm getting that "Sorry, we can't upload this image because it isn't the right format. Remember, you can only upload using these formats..." stuff. I've already uploaded 2 photos, but this last one I edited on Adobe Photoshop 7.0. I refined the image and put some text on it, and saved it as a JPG, and then tried uploading. I got that warning multiple times, them re-saved it as a PNG, tried again and it didn't upload anything. What could be happening?

The simple uploader is pretty busted up. Most people have given up on it; I recommend using the new uploader, or going to a site like Flickr, and copy the coding for each image and paste it here.

If we are all honest, both uploaders have their share of problems; I would love to see the simple uploader fixed.

Jpegs are permitted but please check the size of the image is correct. Over 100mb is a little too large and can cause issues, try resizing the images and try again.
