MOC Not Showing Up in Search Results
Join to comment
Hi, I have noticed that a recent creation I posted does not show up in search results. The name begins with the word "destroyer" but when I do a search on "destroyer" it does not show up. I have tried sorting by newest creation, still nothing. Do I have to tag or do something to the page to get it to show in search results?

Thanks!

Are you sure you spelled the name correctly? In both the search and the title of your post?

Yes, it is spelled correctly. I went back and edited it and added the phrase into the HTML section and that appeared to do it, it does not seem to pick up off the title. Problem solved!

I would like to add to this, I'm new aroubd here and wanted to know how long it takes for the staff team to clear a MOC as I posted one 2 days ago after several failed attempts (no fault of any one) but the header states invisible for a few hours. But if the process on average takes 3-5 days to get round to it. It would atleast be nice if this said so.
You will find my pictures on photobucket where they belong to a user designated Saberfrost. 'Saberfrost' is my usaul online alias so it is not a case of the Moc in question being stolen from another source.
This is not a rant and is not meant as such but rather an inquirery. I know the staff likly manage the site in their free time and that this means there is only so much that can be done, I also aknoledge that MOCpages is a busy site and this means it takes alot of effort to manage, but it still concerns me that the invisibility period is stated as 'a few hours' when I posted my MOC 2 days ago.

An explaination would be much appriciated, an apology though is not neccercary.

Thanks

Normally I'd say new members are authorised within 2 days, but I'm not sure what is happening at the moment, I've not seen Sean, Mark or Chris comment on anything in awhile. I'm hoping one of them will be on again this week.

Well, Sean is probably rewriting stuff and updating the site, Chris is worrying about the MOCAthalon, and well I have no excuse for Mark. Haha.

Thank you for the quick response, I understand. But still if the average is a few days then the 'invisible' header should say that. I doubt I'm the first newcomer to have asked this. Either way, my panic is over. 'Panic' possibly not the right word but it's the closest I've got.

I didn't want to make a whole new topic for this, I just have a small problem.
Most of the HTML and wording was deleted off my front page.

I edited it just a few minutes prior and I'm pretty sure I didn't touch any of that, it just erased most of it. Is this some glitch or did I do something wrong? :P

Hi, gang -

Sorry for not being as diligent with the moderation lately. I've been travelling off and on with art shows for several weeks now. It's been a grueling schedule. Finally back home, and back to a normal (whatever THAT is!) work load.

Hmmm...we just got another comment referring to something that seems quite similar:

I'm not comfortable making calls on the tech stuff. If it's still a problem, though, I can pass this along to Sean. Andros, you're a bit more tech-savvy...any thoughts?
