<object width="425" height="355"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/7WLgrJenJl8&rel=0"></param>;; <param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param> <embed src= "Add youtube video link here"; type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed> </object> This is what I use, and it works for me!

Use the old embed code. That is the only thing that can work. Click on share, select embed, select old embed code, just copy and paste. If that doesn't work, you did something wrong because I've never had a problem.

Yeah, but nobody really wants to open up a new tab or window for music. Embedding makes people happier.

Except when it's Autoplay = 1, Hidden = 1 and Loop = 1.

The official line for some time now is embedded music is not allowed. Too many people were embedding inappropriate music on auto-play.

I thought that was a thing that was hacked into on the page itself, not a simple Embed HTML. I don't use it often, and so long as people are responsible, they will announce if it is explicit or mark their page as PG. Mark also said that as long as it really is not abused, most times they just "look the other way" as he put it.

It's a grey area, occasionally we get the official line as "absolutely no music, it's been abused so don't add any" but shortly after we'll get an addendum "but if you have music already don't worry".

My view is, it's unnecessary so don't use it. But if you MUST, at least keep it tasteful.

You must use the old embed code or else it fails. Just select that when under "Embed."
