I'm having a problem with uploading comments in my group (link at end of post), I tried uploading a comment six time know and after clicking 'continue' a message says that my comment will be submitted soon, please don't re-post. The next day my comment still hadn't shown up, I've tried everything but nothing seems to work, please help.

Your comments had to go through moderation. Did you say anything like stupid or horrible? That would trigger your comment to be approved before it's submitted.

Chances are the admin or mods of the group your posting in don't like the comment your trying to put through and have canceled it.

What you're getting usually means some element within the comment is getting flagged for moderation. In this case, since you are admin for the group, moderated comments should be available for your consideration. They can be accessed by going to your home page and clicking just below "your account" where it should say "you have messages to respond to."

When you click on that, you should be taken to a page where your group is shown, and there are comments that need moderating. Follow that, and you should be good.

If it turns out that's not the case, or you've already done this, chime in again here, and we'll take the next step.

It didn't have the 'respond to messages' option and I don't think anything I have said would require moderation.

Unfortunately, the system will flag some of the most insane things for moderation, so there's no telling. However, I'm surprised you didn't get an indication that something needed moderating back on your own Home page. This would suggest the comments that were flagged got lost somewhere in the ether, or were deleted by someone else.

I see you only have one other individual that has moderating capabilities within the group. Have you checked with him to see what he knows?

Since other groups aren't seeing any problems with lost comments, I'm inclined to think that the group itself is functioning properly. Also, the fact that some comments you've made got through okay tells me there isn't a communication issue between your computer and MOCpages.

Let's try this...

copy and paste (or just retype) one of the comments here. Let's see if it shows up on my Home page for moderation.

I'll check back here in a few hours.

Sorry for the delay in getting back here (work took over yesterday)...

I was hoping the comment might appear for moderation on my home page, but no luck.

Let me ask, are most of your comments showing up, or is it just the one that is having a problem?

If you would like to copy the comment and send it to my business email, I'd be willing to have a look and try a couple of things. I don't usually do this, but this situation has me stumped, and if for nothing more than morbid curiosity, I'd like to get to the bottom of it - mark@markkelsoart.com

Meanwhile, my main concern is that you are able to communicate in the group. So, if you're having a problem with ALL comments you leave, please let me know.

Thanks for your patience.

Thanks for your time, but yeah, it is just the one comment, I'll send it to your email.

“General, what can we do to help?” “Thank the Emperor, space marines, Blood Ravens.” Vanatus, Septimus and two others exited the thunderhawk, three metre tall melding’s of flesh and steel, armed to the teeth and prepared to die in the Emperors name. Suddenly a messenger arrived, bring bad news, “General, we have grave news, our front lines have been wiped out in a furious Xeno assault, no one survived,” “How did this happen, quickly,” “Ten Xenos of gigantic size stormed our lines, followed by wave upon wave of guants, we didn’t stand a chance,” at this, Vanatus stepped in, “Gigantic Xenos you say, of all things, ten Carnifex, general, with these beasts on the loose there will be no victory, when will the Inquisition arrive?” “I sent out for help when the hive fleet appeared at the edge of the sector, the Inquisition did not reply,” “Try again general, this time inform them of the Blood Ravens with you, this planet is sacred to us and we won’t lose it, in the mean time I shall take my men and hunt down the beasts,” “Then may the Emperors light guide you Vanatus,” “And you.” Vanatus gathered his men and set off at a run. Dmitri quickly made his way to the comms centre, telling the messenger to take word to the commissar, telling him to move the basilisks back into the city and to set up a closed defense within the ruins. When he arrived he saw the light on the dashboard, a message was waiting, with haste he answered. “This is Inquisitor Adarax, what is your current situation general?” “Dire my lord, I have but six hundred men remaining from my standing garrison and four Blood Ravens, though the swarm has blockaded Kronus, a liberation fleet will be required,” “Very well, we will make good time, arrival time is estimated at two days, you must hold out until then, is that clear?” “Yes sir, understood, Dmitri out.” The general sighed heavily and dropped to his knees, relief flooding through him, as he stood to leave he saw that another message was waiting, “This is Vanatus, my men are dead and I fear I soon will be, we have eliminated the Carnifex threat but were surrounded by Xenos, I am sending my coordinates, upon receiving, level the area, if I am to die I shall take the Emperors enemies with me, Vanatus out.” Once again a foreboding mood settled upon the general, as the coordinates came through he heard the echo of the basilisks guns, with their biggest advantage gone they now relied on a baneblade, twelve basilisks and the wavering souls of six hundred guardsmen, two days would now seem like so much longer.

If you take a close look at the edited version above, you'll notice that I eliminated the swear words. This was the problem.

Questionable words get sent to moderation, however the system has a list of certain words that cause immediate elimination - no modding necessary - and that's what was happening here.

In the future, I'd suggest editing dialog to avoid common swear words. If you find this situation occurring again, you'll at least know what to look for as the cause of the problem in any given comment.

Ok, that clears something up for me as well. Me and RK Blast are co-writing a story in a group of which we are both admins, and sometimes bits would have swearing, and I would get confused by why neither of us got asked to review them, but this clears that up!
