What are the standards for getting a MOC on the homepage?
Join to comment
Hey everyone, do any of you know what the standards are for getting a MOC on the homepage, or maybe even MOTD. Is there a certain 'like' amount needed, as in like say, 20 likes, Or does there need to be a certain amount of veiws, as in like 1,120 likes?

Please reply.

I'm not sure, but I got one on the homepage with only 4 likes. Hope this helps! God Bless ~ David.

For a moc to get on the homepage, it needs to have at least 4 Likes within a few hours. MOTD is completely random, so you'll never know who gets it. Popular this week consists of the top rated mocs over the past week, usually mocs with over 60 ILI's. Most discussed refers to mocs that have the most comments within a week. It can vary, most of the time a moc where a builder often replies or a very popular moc gets this. It's easier to get MD than PTW.

As I understand it, MOTD is not totally random. You have to get a certain amount of likes and comments, after which point you go into a 'pool' of MOCs that have met the criteria.

THEN it's random.

So it means in theory no poor quality MOCs get MOTD as they don't make it into the pool. Except that in reality that doesn't happen as people 'trade' likes and don't rate honestly, meaning we occasionally get a clone coloured in pen as MOTD as the owner has traded a load of likes...

You actually only need 3, I made absolutely sure. But for some some reason the first like on the MOC doesn't count, so four people will have to like it, but it will only show 3

I disagree some really poor quality MOCs have made MOTD i think even some megablocks ones did - I think it was totally random - but lately really good MOcs and recent ones have been getting MOTD so maybe the criteria has been changed to reflect this (fingers crossed)!

MOTD id totally random, as I have seen some crazy things that were not very well deserved.

MOTD is 100% random, nothing to do with likes
