It's a spam account. Good spot.
The thread for these kind of things is the 'report non-Lego' thread, if you find any more.

Exactly, it is a spam account. No problem, I was looking at Blake's stuff and found him. But he doesn't have any MOCs. Permalink | March 11, 2012, 9:45 am |

And heeee's... outta here. Good catch and thanks! If you find any more of those we'd be greatful if you'd let us know. And yes, please use the "Report non-Lego thread" for that (no problem making the thread for this so don't worry about it).
Thanks again!

Spam accounts in this context are accounts set up ONLY to advertise products and services and have nothing to do with LEGO.
However, bogus accounts can also include those set up to fraudulently inflate other people's (or your own) likes, views and comments. or accounts set up to cause trouble by trolling.
as far as I'm concerned both are as bad as each other.

I think you are missing the point. These accounts were set up ONLY to advertise other websites. The individuals in question aren't posting any pictures of MOCs or Lego.
Linking to other websites is not against the rules (as such).
You are ok to include a link in a comment or as part of a moc, so long as it actually IS a moc and not just an advert. However, be careful what you post links to - suspicious links or those going to age inappropriate sites, would be against the rules.
basically use your common sense, if you can't see any logical connection to something YOU have made, don't post a link.

Yeah, that type of thing I have a question on. I have seen many people, (mostly on more popular MOCs), who ask for instructions, and thats it. Is that allowed? Permalink | May 13, 2012, 6:56 pm | |
