All of you who have added marquee to your pages read this I have discovered that if you have a smart phone like a droid or iphone you can remove the marquee! I am very happy I can now edit my homepage again and I hope this helps you to.

Sam "The legoman" Knavel already found out that you can use a Smartphone to remove the Marquee from the homepages. He said that in one of the topics, but the person who wanted the Marquees off his page couldn't remove them anyway because he didn't have a Smartphone, just like me. :'(

now can you also remove those flag counters, jumping tomatoes and all the other rubbish that is cluttering up my cache with tracking cookies.

I was under the impression the admins asked for us NOT to add that junk as it messes with the home page coding.

Actually, there IS another way, and you DON'T need a Smart Phone. My Dad found that you can use Mozilla SeaMonkey to access and remove the Marquee tags. He said you can either use the Portable version from Portableapps.com or download and install the full browser from Mozilla.

what's a maraquee?
A marquee looks like this:<marquee>. Some people don't realize what they're doing and put they're home page name in between the <marquee> thing, it goes in a sweeping motion when you look at it. For Example: My homepage title is "When in doubt...Build!". So if I did this, <marquee>When in doubt...Build!<marquee> It would slide over to the left. However, although it sounds cool, DO NOT DO IT! Because when you do it it sends a glitch trough your homepage that:

1. Doesn't allow you to edit your homepage.

2. Makes it hard for you to look at the "your creations" list.

However, solutions have been found. There is the one that my dad found out, and the one that Austin Durik found as well. To see what it does, check out Jedi Master Skyner's page.

Thanks Noah. I know what it is now, " The Termernator" has it on his page
What are the solutions?

Well, there's the one Austin Durick found, and there's the one my Dad found, both of which are in this thread.
