Uploaded a flag as a MOC
Join to comment
I recently uploaded a flag as a MOC for a group that im in (conflict) and it was pretty nessesary to have that flag up, i had written out the entire backstory as to how the flag came to be and all the great stuff like that, and just discovered that it has been removed from mocpages. It has everything to do with lego and i don't understand why it was removed. if someone could explain it to me, i would greatly appreciate it.

Hmmm...wasn't one I deleted. I'll look into it, and let you know if I find anything. I'm assuming it wasn't just a picture of a flag, but a MOC of one, right? (I'm asking because pages without actual creations will usually get deleted unless they cover sets, figs, Lego related events, etc.)

Hello David.

I was the one that deleted the flag post. As cool as it was, it was still a drawing of a flag and drawings aren't Lego. Honestly, I felt bad doing it becuase it WAS a nicely drawn picture but... My suggestion would be to make a moc and then at the end of your moc include the picture of the flag. Maybe do a backstory of how the flag was first made? (just a suggestion)

I always feel bad deleting really nice drawings but posting just that is not allowed here. Thanks for understanding.

Ok, thanks for explaining it to me. I was just shocked when it disappeared because i spent a lot of time typin in the back story and didn't type it into a word program and save it first (l know, big mistake). if all the stuff that was deleted is stored in some kind of cache or buffer, can you put it back up for a few hours, so i can retrieve my origin story for it? mostly because i dont want to re type everything...

I'll copy it off of the post and you can delete it again.

I'm sorry, David. But I'm afraid the deletion is permanent. Early on, I lost a page that had a LOT of text worked into it. After that I started saving each post in a file, just as a back-up in case of deletion.

Like Chris, I sometimes I hate having to delete certain pages. But, the rules are the rules, and we have to moderate equitably to the best of our abilities across the board.
