Can you Upload Photos from an iDevice?
Join to comment
Is it possible to upload photos from an iPod Touch or iPhone? I know you can visit the site from one (that's what I'm doing just now), but I'd like to know if there is any way of uploading. I don't have access to a computer on which I can go on for non-business related things, so I can only go on MOCpages on my iPod.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Pretty sure you cant because it requires java which the iPod touch does not support.

That's disappointing. I can't upload any of my MOC's, then.

Would it be possible for someone to develop a way for us to upload from iPods, like an app?

The simple uploader doesn't require java (at least, I'm pretty sure it doesn't).

How would you do it even if it doesn't require Java? There's no SD card on an iPod.

I'm assuming that you could do it, if you have an idevice with a camera (ipod touch 4th gen, iphone 4, ipad 2). You would take the pictures with the device, which would be stored in Photos, and then you would simply take them from Photos into mocpages via the simple uploader. I haven't tried it yet and therefore can't prove its effectiveness, but assuming that nothing is wrong with your device, it should work.

The idevices use flash storage as memory, not an SD card. So the photos can be stored and therefore be extracted.

Even so, it doesn't work using the Simple Uploader. When you go onto it, it just comes up with a list of "Select File" icons that are unclickable.

Does anyone know how to create a way to upload from iDevices?

Why don't you ask your friend? Then we'll all know how... :)
