I would say if it were in a private group for AFOL's only and you felt comfortable, then yeah.

Probably not, and even if you can, it's not a bright idea, considering the sort of reactions you'd get.

<75% of the mocpages population is under 15 years of age. <75% of THEM think that kissing GIRLS is icky. 2+2=?

Don't forget radical Christians who think that people like Argon Wheeler should be killed or sent to a "Straight camp".

I dunno, it'd teach them not to cause drama.

Drama = not good.

I get enough of it from the Maori complaining about the Waitangi Treaty.

I don't, as you can see from AFTERMATH, but some are.

Dude, for real, I'm christian, and I don't think he should be killed, that's just stereotypical!

RADICAL christians. saying that all of 'em hate gays, lesbians and bi's is totally incorrect. thats like saying that all muslims want to blow the US into smithereens. personally i dont think that there's anything wrong with being gay/straight/lesbian/bisexual. its who you are. i mean, if you end up having some freako CFOL start critisizing you about it you don't really want to be associated wiht him/her anyways, do you?

Is there any real point in talking about such matters on MOCpages?

Don't talk about how you make (or don't make) babies, don't talk about religion, and don't mention politics.

Why? Because someone's always ready to argue and/or misunderstand, as this very thread shows.

That's right. I got in a big argument over creationism vs. evolutionism once.

I say talk about whatever you want to talk about, and darn the consequences. Down with the censors! Forward the revolution!

(I do realize the censors are there to protect the young'uns, and furthermore, protect Sean from over-protective parent's wrath, which is something anyone running a site of 5-50 year olds should fear. Doesn't mean I have to like them though.)

Well that would really be a bit unfair, especially if you don't talk about it. Not being allowed on here because of that is like not being anle to be on here cos you're a girl.

Of course you're allowed to talk about it. MOCpages has very strict rules about people who attack others based on religion, race or, as you put it, orientation.

My advice though would be not to "shove it down people's throats." If someone asks, then by all means you may answer honestly. You may put it on your homepage if you wish (or not, your call).

Some people may get offended by it but hey, as long as you're not going to their pages and (again) "shoving it down their throats" then you're good. I grew up in the ice skating world so I'll give you three guesses as to how much someone's orientation bugs me and the first two don't count.

I do agree with a lot of the conversation above however. Politics, religion and "orientation" really have no place on a Lego site. However it IS a social site and people DO talk about things other than Lego...

Short answer, yeah, it's fine to say it. Welcome to MOCpages and good luck!

Nicely put, Chris. And "ditto" that!

I actually came up with a theory that combines the two. That way I can agree with both sides to a point :P

Ok, so in the Bible it says that Earth was created in seven days right? And God is all powerful and all knowing. Heaven is far from Earth, maybe even in another dimension (personal specualtion). And the definition of a day is one rotaion of the EARTH. So, what does that make a day in heaven? It's been said that our lifetime is in the blink of an eye for God, so what would a day for him be? The way I see it, a day for God could be thousands or even millions of years. And thats how old evolutionism says the Earth is right? The way I see things, evolutionism is just a closer look at the scientific part the Creation. God still follows natural and scientific laws to make things happen, he just knows everything so he can use those laws to do anything. Evolution of animals is God making them naturally go through change so they can become what theyre meant to be: the animals they are now, there for humans use. As for cavemen and all that(before Adam and Eve), theyre the fallen angels cast from heaven and their offspring... Just some food for thought :)

Hm... I think that's pretty much what I believe, though I never thought of it as a way to reconcile the beliefs.
