Is there anyway to get copyrights for the creations I make?

nick, while I share your frustration, it is poor internet etiquette to take a thread off topic like this. If you don't have anything to add about Copyright, please can you start a new thread next time.

With regards to Copyright. I'm guessing that your trying to find out if there is any LEGAL way to prevent someone else stealing your designs. I'm not aware of one. However if you are planning on copyrighting your designs for sale (for example via ebay) I'd seriously consider speaking to a lawyer first. Lego system bricks are sold with an implied agreement with Lego and such action could constitute breach of contract. Check the small print.

I'd check out wikipedia under "Copyright" and "fair use".

sorry but I think it dumb to create a whole new topic for something so trivial. such as this topic, i mean is this kind really going to speak to a LAWER. it's laughable really.

That happened to me too from yesterday afternoon to this afternoon. I thought it was my sisters upstairs sucking the bandwidth. :P

I would suggest looking at this thread on the official Minecraft forums for modders to copyright their mods with a simple message: http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1032&t=298953&sid=9a90e839fb28375f28d737595c1fc0e6

Use it as a basis for your message :).

this is a help group, if someone has a question it isn't up to you or me to tell them that question is "trivial". In fact I'd go as far as to say your last post might be considered "insulting".

I was trying to politely suggest you create a new thread if you have a question not relating to the topic, instead of simply saying "ok" or "thanks for the suggestion" you try to belittle the topic as an excuse for posting whatever you like in it.

Sorry but that's not acceptable behaviour in my opinion.
