Here is a place to tell use what your favorite Bible Verse is.

Ezekiel 18:31-32

"Turn away from your sins! Turn away from all the evil things you have done. The sin will not bring you down. Get rid of all the evil things you have done. Let me give you a new heart and a new spirit. Then you will be faithful to me. Why should you die, people of Isreal?"

I look at this verse every day and it helps me get through my day.

My favorite is probably one of the most common ones:
"do onto others as you would have them do onto you." I forget where it is in the Bible.

Deuteronomy 6:4-9

"Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the LORD is one! And you should love the LORD your God with all your heart with all your soul and all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall bind them as signs on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. You shall write them on the doorpost of your house and on your gates."

Definitly Psalms 23 "The Lord is my shepherd: I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Your prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall forllow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever." That is a long one.

One of mine is 2 Corinthians 6:17.

"Therefore come out from them
and be separate, says the Lord.
Touch no unclean thing,
and I will receive you."

My form of witnessing is just being different and separate from the world. This is where I got that. Again this is not my favorite just one of them.

Another is Matthew 21:22.

"If you believe you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."

This has really helped me. I believe this is a very raw definition of faith.

"And let endurance have it's perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. And if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives to all willingly and without reproach, and it will be given to him." James 1:3-5

I feel you have to have a good reason, even though it is an important verse, not just because you know it and could say it a million times and not screw up.

Romans 8:38-39
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

and John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (Confirmation verse)

I have several, but my all time favorite is 1 Timothy 4:12 which says, "Do not let others look down at you because you are young, but set an example for believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity."

I love this one a lot:"Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things,Like silver or gold,From your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers. But with the precious blood of Christ,As of a lamb without blemish and without spot." 1Peter 1:18-19

Was it Tim Hawkins? Put the link here because I think I know what you're talking about, but Biblegateway.com updates NIV all the time, and it is different than I thought.

I like Matthew 4:4 (no I am not self servicing)
1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted[a] by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”

4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.

This pretty much says that life on earth is not as important as life in Heaven.
