TCW Series 5 Theories

What are your theories on the next Clone Wars Series?

What do you think will happen to Ashoka? Ventress? Rex? As well as the main story?

I read one guy's theory that Maul would kill Ashoka which would lead to Anakin killin Maul. Thus tieing up all of the loose ends.

Interesting theory. Or maybe she will leave the order, because she fells in love with Lux Bonteri. As for Maul I think that Obi-Wan should be the one who kills him. Otherwise fans would be very disappointed. The series itself should end with a Clone Wars version of episode 3.

That sounds good, but a lot of people want to see Ahsoka die. And I thought there were going to be 7 seasons?

Although it IS an interesting theory, it can't be true. If you can remember, in one of episodes where they were in Mortis, she saw a vision of herself as an adult warning her about the threat Anakin will bring in the future. If they killed her there, in would be an inconsistency to they're own show.

So do you think order 66 will come in series seven, but it could come in series six and have series seven be about the imperials but i guess then it wouldn't be The Clone Wars.

Well, if I am correct in saying there will be 7 seasons, then they might include some order 66 in the end. I do like the idea about the imperial series though.

I watched a documentary about that episode and Mr Filoni said; 'Would Ashoka even reach that age?' So she might in fact die.

Hmmm. That's actually quite interesting. However, it was a vision given to her by the Force itself, so in my opinion, it would be a HUGE inconsistency to the Clone Wars. However, that's just my opinion ;)

They have a fairly old animated Clone Wars series which precedes the one currently airing on TV that includes this, as well as Grievous' first appearance on Hypori, where he slaughtered the Jedi knights there (Hypori Massacre).

I agree, the force-power things are not very realistic. I mean in the old movies almost nobody is able to move big things, onlythe most powerful Jedi such as Yoda.

I've been watching a lot of videos about season 5 and been in blogs and found out that there is 4 minutes extended trailer. So I went to youtube and typed it, and guess what I found it. The quality is really bad in some scenes, but boy this is going to be so epic season. There is going to be clone commandos, Sidious vs. Maul and Savage, Ahsoka vs. Ventress, Ahsoka vs. Sidious (pretty sweet right?) the jedi starfighters are now eta-2 class, there is this scene where Fox is shooting droids with Rotary blaster cannon, they have made some changes with Yoda's look and more epic stuff. Just watch. I can't wait till premiere. This is going to be so epic season. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERMJ_EZ_uhE

It's also interesting how Clone Wars developed in general. The trailer shows better animations (I love the new Yoda), more realistic battles and a darker athmosphere. I also like that they put more original Star Wars soundtrack music in there. The next season might be more interesting for older Star Wars fans I feel.

Yes, but if someone should kill Maul it's Obi-Wan. I mean he defeated him in phantom menace and if someone else kills Maul then his only achievement is that, he killed Grievous.

Sorry to spoil your fun, but I really don't believe Ahsoka will die. She saw a vision from itself as an adult in Mortis. But Lux might die, I hope he does.

And one other thing. I don't get it why everyone hates Ahsoka so much, I know she isn't in the movies bla bla bla... but if that's the only reason why people hate her, it's just pathetic.

That's what I said, about the vision on Mortis...I also hope Lux dies as well...annoying teenager. I also agree about what you said on WHY everyone hates Ashoka, SO what if she wasn't in the movies? Embo wasn't either...(but he's still awesome :P) Most of the reasons people hate Ashoka are truly pathetic...

Exactly they've made tons of new characters so why every hate goes to Ahsoka? And Embo rocks!

Shes also quite important from a story telling point of view.

She reflects Anakin and it kind of compliments the story of him turning to the dark side.

One of the things about TCW I dislike is the fact that droids are so inferior compared to Clones. Granted, we all know Clones are better. But in the films far more of then die. Whereas in TCW droids are so bad at trying to kill things.

It would be so cool if Echo came back, even though they thought he died in an explosion. I mean they never showed his body, or even a piece of armor to show that he truly had died, and they brought Maul back even though he was cut in half and he fell down a reactor. Well maybe it is just wishful thinking.

Ikr? And I really hate the fact that Grievous is like the worst fighter in the whole series. He is really a great warrior and kills a lot of jedi, but in the series we have seen him killing only one jedi, ONLY ONE JEDI and he looses every single fight, no matter who's against him. Since Grievous really killed Adi Gallia why they couldn't put that on the show?

What did y'all think about the new episode? I think it was OK.

I think it was really good. The Onderon episodes were one of the episodes I was looking forward to when I saw the trailers after the Maul and Savage vs. Sidious of course but as I was saying I was really looking forward to for this episodes since Onderon is in KOTOR and I must say these episodes hadn't disappointed me. I really like the story on these episodes. There isn't much of action, but all the episodes don't even need that. I f every episode would be just Clones vs. Droids this show would get old really, really fast.
Like I said I really liked this episode. The story was great just like in the previous 2 episodes, I really liked how Ahsoka acted like a jedi and was ready to let Saw die to save the king and instructed the rebels that purpose must come before feelings. She is getting much more mature. Last 5 minutes were great, now the separatists know that jedi are involved so the next episode should be really good and there will be Hondo and droid gunships. I don't really like the love triangle, but I'm interested on how it turns out. They posted this before the season 5 started http://www.starwars.com/watch/tcw_s5_battle_of_onderon.html and like you can see that general is in the clip so when I saw him in this episode I knew that he would be the guys in this episodes summary (A surprising ally comes forward to help the rebels prevent the execution of Onderon's true king.) not right away but eventually.

I don't want to be seen as overcritical but I just find the show... not as good as it could be. Even when I read a bad novel in the universe I feel as if something was achieved, with some of the episodes (to be honest I find most of them irritable) I just feel down.

I would like to see Dave Filoni realise that TCW is full of continuality errors and just rewriting good cannon so they should announce it is not cannon.
That's just me.

I agree. In my opinion someone with more knowledge about the SW universum and more experience should have made the series.

Well I would have agreed with you in the last seasons but I think he is much more mature now.

Yeah. Same with Ahsoka. In the first seasons she was so childish that she ruined everything, but now she is ok. Still not good, but I accept the character.

Guys next episodes summary is this:
"As a full-scale revolt embroils Onderon, the rebels strike a decisive blow against the planet's Separatist-aligned king. Unfortunately for the rebels, such victory comes at a high price."
So I think someone is going to die. Who you think that character is?

Wow I thought you would like it since it had more action, those sweet droid gunships and Hondo. Well I liked it, best episode from the Onderon ARC. And like I said those droid gunships are awesome, they fire like 30-50 missiles in second.

So none of you liked the episode or the whole Onderon ARC. I really liked the ARC. It didn't have much of action but it didn't even needed that, it was great just the way it was. The story was great, it had a lot of cool characters and I even liked Lux on this ARC, he was much more mature and so was Ahsoka and I'm glad that the whole Luxoka thing is never going to happen. I knew that Steela was going to die, I just knew it. So when she was hanging on the cliff I knew this is the scene where she dies. And that scene was really dramatic. First saw shots down the gunship then it crashes on Steelas and Dendups position, the cliff cracks and Steela pushes Dendup away and jumps, she's able to get grip from the cliff and is hanging then Lux almost falls but Ahsoka uses the force and gets him out of there, then she tries to get Steela up but the crashed droid gunship shots Ahsoka on the shoulder and falls back, Lux uses Steelas sniper and shoots the gunship's turret, then Ahsoka and Lux watch down and see Steela dead, that was so dramatic and epic scene and did you saw Lux's face when he watched down from the cliff and saw dead Steela. Poor Lux. I really liked this ARC and I hope some of you liked it as well. I've said it before and I'll say it again. If the saw would only be droids versus clones all the time it would get old really fast.

I have a new theory that will tie in nicely with the events of episode 2 and 3. As well as remove Ashoka and Ventress. :D

Okay, Ventress kills Ashoka and Anakin goes all dark side and kills Ventress but he'll keep it a secret, like what he did to the Tuskens in Attack of teh Clones and Dooku in Revenge of the Sith.

Yeah I don't think that Ventress is going to kill Ahsoka.

Weird but I think it was the best one from this season. This whole ARC is so well made. Revival wasn't as good as everyone are saying. Onderon ARC was good but this ARC is very good, a lot and I really mean a lot better than I thought. Anyway looking forward to last 2 episodes from this ARC. In the next episode the younglings are going to save Ahsoka from Florrum and in the last episode of this ARC they ally themselves with the pirates when Grievous attacks Florrum.

Hey guys, if you would have to rate the episodes so far from season 5 on a scale of 1-10. What would your ratings be?
Here's mine:

Revival: 8/10
A War on Two Fronts:7/10
Front Runners:8/10
The Soft War: 9/10
Tipping Points: 8.5/10
The Gathering: 9/10
A Test of Strength: 10/10

Front Runners:8.5/10
The Soft War: 7.5/10
Tipping Points: 7.5/10
The Gathering: 5.5/10
A Test of Strength: 6/10

Honestly can we see some clones? After all, it is called the CLONE WARS? Not the youngling wars, or the rebel wars. The CLONE wars. And why is Ahsoka leading a group of younglings? She's practically a youngling herself! I figured a high member of the council would take the younglings to a sacred place like the Ilum crystal caves. Not Ahsoka!

Sorry, just letting off a little steam.

SPOILER ALERT! Because of the ending I'm not sure did he even died. They showed a explosion but it wasn't like the biggest explosion and Gregor was behind crates so I really don't know did he died and the episode ended when that frog guy (don't remember the name) said "You will be remembered Captain Gregor. we will take your heroic story back to the Republic and we will watch for your return" So does that mean he survived?

Yeah Dave Filoni said in the episode featurette that since Gregor made that promise that he'll make it Filoni is going keep that promise. Filoni also said that since Darth Maul is coming back he needs to keep as many characters alive is possible, so sounds like Maul is going to kill a lot of people. wow who just saw the episode? I've been waiting for Palpatine to come. And it really took some interesting turns, really unexpected!

Ikr?!?!? That was one epic episode! Too bad it was a bit too rushed. I hope that it would have been one episode longer because this was a bit too rushed. Sidious was AWESOME!!! And the scene where (SPOILER ALERT) Satine dies, was very emotional, the moment Darth Maul kills her I gasped. What I didn't expect was that Maul really cares about Savage!

Yeah, it was a surprisingly good episode! I loved the part where Satine dies, and how Sidious kills Savage!

When Sidious says he won't kill Maul because he has a better use for him, I wonder what he meant...

I loved the episode, finally got some clones. Everything was great except the ending. They could have ended the episode when Ahsoka jumped. (That would have looked much better than the ending they chose, awful timing) And no I don't think it was Barriss. After all Barriss becomes a jedi knight later in the clone wars, gets her own padawan and dies in Felucia when order 66 comes.

This episode felt mostly like a filler episode. I'm sure it was Barriss now. She was the only one that Ashoka told where she was, and how did Barriss find out about the warehouse. Besides, what would be the point of including her in the ARC, since she's played no real role yet.

Yeah, it has to be Barriss. Ahsoka made sure that no one can trace the call what she had with Barriss. Whoever attacked Ahsoka in the end was a young female person and knew Ahsokas battle style. Ahsoka got beaten worse than ever in the show. But that was one awesome episode. I really hope it would have been 1h season finale because I can't wait till next Saturday. So far this ARC and Umbara ARC are my favorites in the series.

I know, but she does go on to become a Jedi Knight and die in Order 66 I think. That's the only reason that I think it may not be her. But it seems to be the obvious choice.

I haven't been watching season 5, but just because she was killed on Felucia during order 66 in pre established cannon doesn't mean Filoni and the others won't re write it. They've done it before, many times.

I didn't know this episode was the season finale. My theory was that Ashoka would be executed, boy was I surprised. Now I think they might bring her back in episodes , 8, or 9, since she quit they might make her survive order 66.

I think it was a good episode. Unfortunately, they did rewrite the story by making Barriss the real bomber, but it was a good and dramatic ending. But now the story is basically in line for episode III.

I know, it was great episode and the ending was fantastic, sad but fantastic.
@Barrett not really, we still don't know what happens to Rex and there is still some jedi in the council that aren't in ROTS. Even they made Barriss the villain, she was right about the jedi order. As for the Barriss's story in the eu, that was in the comics, so they can easily rewrite it.

Technically, nothing in the series is canon to the films, but it's setup to be accepted as if it were.

I thought the episode had a great ending.

True. They are making more seasons, so hopefully we'll see what happens with Rex and stuff. I don't think they should rewrite anything, even if it is comics. I think they could have easily come up with someone to be the Jedi-gone-rogue who either didn't have a complete background or who simply didn't exist until then. I think bringing Bariss into it just stirs a commotion among people who already accept her becoming a Jedi Knight and dying in order 66 as canon.

I watched like the first three episodes, then stopped, but I notice that they only did 20 episodes this season, instead of the usual 22 that have made up a season in the first 4.

They had the Clovis arc, but didn't air it. The arc with Commander Thorn. (The guy shooting B2 droids with rotary blaster cannon in the season 5 trailer)

I don't remember that, but they'll probably show it somehow, I doubt they'll waste their work on a whole arc, but maybe they cancelled it when it was half done.

Through my very shaky internet I managed to watch the whole series. The first thing I noticed about the later episodes was how good the writing was. I, as usual, didn't agree with some of the cotinuality, but the writing was far better than anything we've had for a long time, if ever.
Even the Mandalore/Maul arc had some great political elements. I actually somewhat enjoyed these episodes and I didn't feel like I normally do watching one of the episodes, with a feeling of 'well, I'll just slog through this one, I guess'.

It's just unfortunate that it took so long for them to get it right.

I saw that too, it wasn't that clear though, and another site said they might just finish everything online, instead of a traditional season.

Sorry, but there isn't going to be next season. We are going to see the episodes they have made so far including the one in the clip as "bonus arcs", how we will see them? I don't know, but we are going to see them.

You would expect that the remaining episodes will be released on DVD/BD/Digital download or at least the latter, Lucasfilm will want money for what they worked to make. What they'll call it is a question; 'Season 5.5', 'Bonus Episodes', or something along those lines?

I read the article that popped up when I followed the link. The thing about Plo Koon sounded intriguing. What's annoying about it is that it is completely random and therefore difficult to guess what happens.
