Terribly late, I know. I apologize! Life has gotten in the way, as many of you know! Anyhow, on to what everyone is waiting for... The winners!

First up we have the FANTASY CATEGORY.

The winner is...

GILBERT DESPATHENS!

Honestly, I doubt anyone is surprised! His figure was revolutionary!

Alright, onto the MODERN COMBAT CATEGORY

The winner is...

A tie between Gilbert Despathens and Superspy X! However, since Gilbert already won the fantasy, Superspy X gets the prize! Congrats man!

Finally, the SCI-FI/FUTURISTIC CATEGORY

The winner is...

A tie between Ron L. Mitchell, Kevin Moyer, Saequis (Sam M), and Gilbert (yes again :P).

Gilbert gets ruled out again, still leaving a three-way tie. I broke the tie with my final vote, giving the victory to...

Saequis (Sam M)!

Congrats everyone! Again, sorry for such a delay!

If there were to be an overall winner, Gilbert would win it, as he got first in one category and tied for first in the other two :P

Aw. I'd really hoped for some of those capes... :P But there were many entries better than mine. Congratulations to the winners!

Good job everyone!
I thought my sci-fi was a winner, but I guess not! :D
I'm not really a customs guy anyway. :P
Thank for the fun contest Caleb!

Happy building to all! Looking forward to competing again in the future.

I would have won with my completely custom figure, painted, custom peices, and custom wepaons, all mde by muwah, but I forgot about the contest and didn't post. I'm not joking. Everything about my fig was custom.

The winners' entries all were amazing! They deserved the prizes! Congrats!!! Guess I'll have to go more purist next time. Paint's not good enough I suppose :P. I had fun!

Hmm. I think Gerald is onto something - none of the winners were custom at all. Paint looks good from a distance, and even simulates real-world textures if that's what you're going for, but it lacks the smooth refinement of a purist (or even Sharpie'd) brick.

I received mine yesterday or the day before, and I must say that the capes are corroding my Purist soul. Thanks, Caleb!

A purist can't customize. Customize means personalize. And you can't customize with only Lego parts.

Strictly speaking, any change from an original, manufactured state to a variant created by the person making the changes is a customization. Even switching a head can be a customization.
