To be grand prize champion the rules mandate 1/3rd of the composite come from all three top five positions. As you can see from above only two people were in the running for this place due to being top five in all three categories.

Runner up: Nick Barret

Winner and Grand Prize Champion:

Pico van Grootveld

Congratulations Mr. Grootveld, let me know how you would like your prize sent, email me at: archon.caledonia at gmail.com

And a hearty congratulations to Ron for a first class contest with some seriously high caliber results! Kudos my friend!

Chewie will return.

Genuinely surprised at my placing; I thought there were several builds better than mine, including of course Pico's - so many congrats to him! Great contest, thanks Ron.

It looks like the winner and runner up earned it. Both were well thought out, well built models with great photography and special effects.

Thanks, Ron. This was a fine contest. Hard fought, and with a very deserving winner.

Congratulations, Pico! I knew you were the one to beat as soon as I saw that monster posted. A deserved win.

Now that the contest is over, I wonder if the mystery judges will be revealed.

My ship wasn't on it!

I'm not sure about you , but I was in this contest to show off my best techniques in a setting where somebody is compelled to look at my MOC.

Congratulations Pico! Fascinating judging process, thanks for one of the more innovative contests around.

But just because we call Martian starfighters "scooters" shouldn't be grounds for discrimination - geez! ;)

Thanks to Ron and the judges for their time, and to the mysterious man behind the curtain for footing the bill. Thanks also to all the competitors who all showed up with excellent builds. A fun contest!

Okay CC, I am not sure. I certainly remember it being here but it was not here at the close of the contest and was not "graded" nor voted on. I am not sure what happened.

WOW what an awesome surprise! Really expected Tim or Mihe to take the wreath here. I was getting very curious to the conclusion, there was some tough competition. The entries are of an amazing quality, the inspiration and different approaches have been awesome to see.

Thanks to Ron for organizing this great competition and inviting me to it and thanks to the judges for putting their thoughts and energy into the judging process. I joined the pages in october and never expected getting into a competition, let alone winning a hawt prize. I discovered an awesome and creative community! Lastly, a big thank you to the generous anonymous sponsor for the incentive!

Congrats to Pico for winning :D But I want to thank all participants for great and inspiring builds to be learn from. Also, I was so surprised (in most positive way) about complexity and objectivity of evaluation of builds. All was done with big effort to be done honestly. Thank you all! :D

Thanks Ron, echoing what everyone else said, for a really fun contest! The effort put into judging openly, thoughtfully and fairly really made this one of the best of its kind on MOCpages. I'll definitely be back next year!

And well done Pico for a great victory, commiserations especially to Tim & Mihe for coming so close with your excellent MOCs!

Prasad Heavy Industries happily congratulates Pico, and his amazing entry! A great way to join MOCpages, if I dare say so. I'm also very pleased with the points I-my company- has amassed; truly above expectations! Once again, congratulations Pico, and to the other great competitors. I look forward to next year!
