So don't invite anybody! Oh wait, you can't anymore;)

I actually agree, nobody is attacking the outlaws right now, but if our factions unite then we have a chance (it would be a better chance if Nerogue felt the need to show up...)

Check out this jewel of information from the Outlaw war council:

Quoting Outlaws
Destroy Rainos it is then.

Though, have you noticed that since we decided to campaign against Rainos, It has hardly been able to hold it's own? I think that, because we have so many people, whoever we decide to attack is pretty much doomed, until they get an alliance. That means that we can wipe out any faction from attack and fortify in two weeks, but we need to choose very wisely which factions we attack. For now, it should be Rainos, and then probably Mythron. But by the time we're done with that, we are sure to have lost one or two cities. And then, if Nerogue and Enalica both still have four, then we are in a lot of trouble…

Scary, isn't it? Anyone want to team up with them now?

Hoping you see my reasons for attacking Nerogue in Attack and Fortify. Basically it's too powerful, and if we can get the outlaws on our side we'll be able to take Nerogue out and at least get second place. (better than third place, which is what we'd get otherwise...)

Can I create my own city?

How do I get points?

Can I create my own "faction" emblem as long as it's blue and black?

Welcome to Mythron!

You may make your character any race listed here: http://www.mocpages.com/group_conversation.php?id=22392&topicid=88444

You can't create new cities unfortunately.

To earn points, you can post MOCs for LOM. Freebuilds can be posted at anytime (up to 5 per month) and give you 2 points each. Challenge entries give 5 points just for entering, and more for winning. Rank challenges and some other special things can give you 3+ points as well.

The Tourney (link on the group homepage, I think) is coming up in January, which will be a big source of points. Feel free to join a guild and sign up!

I think we'd prefer that you keep to the design on the homepage of the main group. Slight changes are fine (I'm using very slightly different colors on my shields) but it should be as close as possible to the real design.

Hope this helps!

Can I reference my city in my builds at least. Could my city be "secret"?

I think LOM is a neat idea, but from what it seems you are telling me, it hinders participants from showing any form of creativity and "customization". It seems too purist. It lacks the personal creative elements that other lego RPGs offer (LCC, GoH, LoB ect).

For that reason I don't think I'm going to join, at least for now.

I'm leaving this group now! :/

Really? That's a shame. You're a great builder, and I'm sad to see you go. I think that if you stayed, you would find that LOM has much more room for creativity than you think. If this is your final decision, of course I will respect that. But I urge you to rethink this, because LOM is a fantastic group dedicated to serve people with your kind of skills, and I'd hate to see you miss out.

I tried that once...it didn't end wellD: I barely grabbed pieces of the same color, and most was technic stuff.

Hello fellow Mythronians,

Since joining the Lands of Mythron a couple of days ago, I have experienced a very diverse group with great ideas and an excellent vision. The potential is just enormous for this group, there seem to be no limits.

However, that being said, I have noticed that out of all the groups, although ours claims to be the most noble, we appear to be by far the least organized. If you disagree with me by all means simply tune me out, but if you would like to hear more of my opinion on this mater please read on, as I see no reason for why we can not be the most powerful faction.

In terms of disorganization, as I mentioned before I believe there is a lot of room for improvement. It seems to me the other groups simply have more substance to them, and are much more updated. They have all their guilds displayed, a copy and paste-able banner, and lots of missions and objective suggestions (I know this as my brothers are a part of two of the other groups).

On the other hand I have literally tried for hours to read and understand exactly what the group wants from builds and how I can help, but it all seems extremely overcomplicated, and it is difficult to find anything of depth in any of the threads. Also when it comes to guilds, I mean seriously. I would love to join one of these however the only one I have heard of for this faction is the Average Gnomes, and there are no instructions anywhere on how to join it.

I am not blaming anyone here, nor am I shooting this group down by any means. It is just that I strongly believe this group has so much potential, and it is disheartening to see it at this state. I know running a group is no easy task, and I am grateful for all of the administrators and moderators of this group. So take this as it is, change or do not change, you've heard my opinion and now it is up to all nine-teen members of this group to do what they feel should be done. If it is nothing so be it, I will remain in this groups none the less and build for you guys as well as I can.

So thank you for your attention, and may our faction perhaps once again be known as the leaders of Mythron.

You'll actually find that we have all of the missions listed in the Mythron thread in the main group and the copy/paste able banner is on the main group's homepage.

Generally Mythron's building style is supposed to be like classic castle. Other than for Universal challenges and rank challenges, there aren't any restrictions on what to build; most people here choose to use Free builds to advance their characters story as they fight outlaws/Rainosians, go on adventures of exploration, and things like that.

Guilds are not always faction-exclusive either, but I would recommend that you hold back from joining one until the Tourney is over. You are judging, after all, and both David FNJ and I agreed not to lead guilds into battle this time around.

Hey lookie! How nice of Rainos to make their plans public:
http://www.mocpages.com/group_conversation.php?id=23056&topicid=94275#comment-1334639

Say something to FNJ and others about this? Like I said before, I don't think intentionally attacking cities when people are busy- especially during the tourney- is fair.

Plus this might be a good time to address the faction equality rule, Brick.

Hey George/Fraser, could you start building your city defense MOC?

It would be greatly appreciated if you guys (it's most likely going to be me, George, and Brick building for it, but Fraser is definitely the best pick) avoided participating in the mocathalon and other contests during March/April.

Until Brick/maybeFNJ can reinstate the faction equality rule, address the issue of attacking while people are busy, and all that, we just need to play it safe.

Some copy/pasted comments, since they're going to probably make the group private when Adam sees this:

Basically, I spent the last hour and ten minutes looking at Halhi's entire series of Lego creations, analyzing his techniques in every field I can think of. I compiled a huge list, but I realized that I don't want spies to see it. For now, all I will say is that he wins with rocks and loses with buildings, especially interiors (muahahaha). He has never built a sea MOC, but he can handle water techniques very well sometimes (and I don't know if I can). I will pass the complete list on via email to some Rainosians, though.

Glancing over dear Bricky's work, it looks like his vegetation is his strong point. Even if he uses a checkerboard pattern of grass pieces, it looks great. Rocks aren't his strong point, but if he and Halhi could somehow combine their skills on a landscape... yikes. His castle work is somewhere between Jacob Pennington's and Toa Infernum's, but he doesn't do many wooden buildings. Masonry castle interiors work for him, though. His water isn't bad, either.

I checked out the Mythron members list, and the only other 'builders of note' are Ian ..... And possibly Fraser. Fraser isn't as active, and is a newer Mythronian, but is a judge for the Tourney. Fraser is probably NOT a threat, but his weakness is wooden buildings, like Jacob Pennington's. Ian has a lot of points, but don't let that scare you. His builds for the most part lack detail, and seem bland. However, his Tourney entry proves he can do landscape well, if it isn't snowy. Another thing, his builds lack any large structures, stone or wooden.

Builder: Halhi 141

Faction: Mythron

Abstract: Halhi is probably one of Mythron's top two builders as of February 2014, ranking close to ~ Brick. He is a very inventive builder whose rocks are always the centerpieces of his medieval MOCs.

Disposition: As a Mythronian, Halhi is a certain enemy. He is not as aggressive as Brick, but he would readily join in an engagement if encouraged. However, he is very active outside of the Lands of Mythron and as such might not always invest his full time or talent. This contributes to his lack of character points, and he is not expected to gain city-raider status until October 2014 unless he drastically changes his rate of posting,

Skills:
Ask Gilbert for the full breakdown - he doesn't want to give Halhi an edge quite yet.

So basically fortify only whichever city has the most points. Not the ones with the lowest points, the one with the most points.

For your attacks, attack Larpang (until it falls) then attack Enalica's strong cities.

Nope, fortify whichever one has the most points at the time; it means that the other factions won't know what to attack.

And attack Larpang and whichever Enalican city has the most.

We are facing a war on three fronts. We NEED allies, but Nerogue is not coming to our aid. We need to form a temporary alliance with another faction, because otherwise we will crumble.

Well, Outlaws are almost out. That will eliminate a lot of man power.
Still, we should reach out to Rainos.

And a side note: Brick, could you change the description of Mythron on the homepage? I think it doesn't do a good job of describing the faction well and encouraging people to join.

Looks good; maybe you should update the Mythron thread a bit too...

Also we should do something about Infy, I mean a barbarian being able to kill *any* highly trained Mythronian soldiers is unlikely and difficult, but killing lots of them like he does just isn't possible.

Sticking to the movie stereotypes I see? They're at least equals; Rainos doesn't have enough training (or any in fact, due to the lack of order and organization) to match the skilled training of the Mythronian soldiers. And no, this isn't "my faction is better than yours", it's a fact that has already been established.

It might be a bit excessive if you kill them in groups, but otherwise probably not. Anyway, outlaws are generally less organized/skilled

Welcome to Mythron, original leader of the map.

Our story:
Ages ago, the great king of Mythron was killed by the first Barbarian leader, but his three sons took over the burden of Mythron.
After the Battle of Unbinding, the Barbarians took the island that neighbored  Mythron, called Rainos. They have secured half of the map because of this. While this weakened Mythron, we are not without strong defense. Our armies are made up of loyal men, who have the best training possible. As the Mythron and Rainos became further into their war, outlaws and pirates flourished from treasures, military leader ransoms, and moving soldier camps...Through all this, the true fighters stand, for Mythron, and for Justice!

  -----
General information:

You can go to our factional group here: http://mocpages.com/group.php/23058

Mythron's official colors are black and blue

We currently have 586 points, as of the last update. This means that we are in second place!

However, we are third place in member quantity, at only 27.

Our building styles are quite diverse, but the main element to incorporate into builds is grand castles. Mythronian builds generally should demonstrate heroic knights, great fortresses, and courageous, noble deeds. Be sure to make any castles or buildings in relatively good condition, rather than a dilapidated look - save that for Rainos! Note that most Mythronian fortresses and outposts have well-trained soldiers guarding them. Contrary to common movie stereotypes, these are not soldiers that can be defeated easily. In fact, defeating just one is a challenge; killing many is unrealistic.
While the rules may sound strict, Mythron in fact allows for lots of freedom in builds - anything from castles to houses to landscapes can be found in Mythronian MOCs! (and sometimes all three)

Mythron's current goals:

~Retake the entire map
~Grow army
~Plant spies in Rainos

~Mythronian kingdoms/leaders:
Reedus (Claimed by the High King.)
Carthal
Falmor (Claimed by George Marshall)
Meids (Claimed by~Brick)

----

Description of Mythronian cities:

Reedus:
The capital of Mythron, the biggest city, Reedus is the most fortified of the Mythronian cities. It is where all the officials live, and there are guards everywhere to protect it. Reedus also holds countless sculptures and fountains depicting some of Mythron's great history. One of the most famous spots in the city of Reedus is the Royal Fountain Gardens. It is said that is the most beautiful thing a man could see. The amazing location was built to show the art and beauty of Mythron's distant past. Besides the overpopulated buildings, markets, and barns, Reedus also holds a large forest right outside its walls. According to legends, in that forest there is a Griffin that was bestowed the sacred honor of defending the city with with his life by the original founder of Mythron.

Meids:
A populated city, Meids has many places that would be considered dangerous. Despite many attempted arrests, the Mythronians can not seem to find where all the outlaws are. Many people say that the outlaws are all around the city, even in it's government. Wherever they may be, Meids is an interesting, large city. In fact, the city is the second largest in Mythron, with miles of forest surrounding the one sole castle. From this castle the king watches his prosperous city grow. Beneath the tower there are many villages and rivers. Meids is also Mythron's most militarily equipped city, housing an estimated 25,000 soldiers. It is all noted than there are many caves near the almighty castle there, which could be a perfect place for Outlaws.

Falmor:
Mythron's smallest city, Falmor is Mythron's city of trade. It's a great place for exchanging goods. Merchants distribute supplies to and from Carthal. It's said that people from anywhere can stay in Falmor. In fact, the city's main function is housing citizens. For this reason, a variety of buildings, especially houses, farms, shops, and courts, can be found just about everywhere! Because of Falmor's very populated nature, it's a place where crime is seen frequently. But don't be fooled - Falmor is far from a run-down city! Its walls are tall and it's well fortified, with more than enough soldiers. And although there's little nature, one can enjoy a fast-pacedlifestyle here; it's the perfect place for those who enjoy excitement. And if you're heading out on a journey, you'll definitely need to stop here!

Carthal:
Carthal is Mythron's main porting city since the fall of Tomeu. There are walls surrounding the city's western section, with the eastern open gladly for trade. Only about half of the people in Carthal at any time actually live there; the remainder are typically merchants, sailors, and travelers. It's where Mythron builds, repairs, and loads their war ships. It's quite easy to escape if you're an Outlaw as well. From port to port there are tradesmen trying to make a decent profit. Mythron has also set up their shores with their most advanced troops and weapons. If one was to ever attack the coast, it is almost guaranteed that their ship would not dock.

This is how it should work.

Each player will prepare a paragraph argument why they should be nominated to be a Mythronian Modeartor in the Staff Group. Once they have their case prepared, the must vote for one other person. They will talley the votes themselves.

OR

We prepare our cases and get the LOM Admins to decide.
