Prince George's County shootings

I'd be surprised if any of you have heard about the past 13 January shootings (in the first 13 days of the new year!) in the liberal or "progressives" heartland, probably because the anti-conservative finger-pointers have done their best to cover it up. That section in Maryland is tightly controlled by liberals. While they are eager to paint Jared Loughner, the Arizona gunman, as the face of conservatives and associate him to Republicans they completely ignored the murder spree in an area dominated by liberals. Why isn't their press willing to show the picture of this overwhelmingly liberal county as the face of today's Democrat - violent and out of control. Because thats not them. They are arrogant and foolish. Taadaa!

I find America so silly that it's funny.
You only have two major political parties, who seem to be focused on nothing more than opposing the other's every move. This topic isn't much more than "Hurr durr liberals are dumm herp derp".

I love my Norway, and apart from possible studies in Germany, I'm likely never going to live anywhere else.

So what you're saying is that you know absolutely nothing about american politics. And you enjoy bragging about it?

I learn from what I read, and no.

If you consider me uninformed, would you please take your time to educate me?

It's a little naive to say that Democrats are violent and out of control, considering they make up half the country. Jared Loughner didn't care about politics. AND he was a socio/psychopath. But definitely I agree that the media is rather arrogant and foolish.

Hey, I'm Norwegian! But I live in America. Pretty much American politics are 1-dimensional, meaning you will find yourself somewhere on a line instead of on a plane. We are varying degrees of right/left-wing. As a Republican for example, there are the gung-ho stereotypical cigar-smoking gun-toting far right wingers who would love to go quail hunting with Obama (Dick Cheney joke), the far right wingers who believe in laissez-faire politics (amen) and the Napoleonic Code (again amen), the moderates who are for a small government but are okay with some change (these are often (mis)identified as RINO's (Republicans In Name Only), and then the true RINO's, who voted for Arlen Specter.
Here's a fun Arlen Specter quote: "My change in parties will enable me to be re-elected." Hooray for democracy!
