In the Magician's Nephew, the boy and girl represent Adam and Eve, and Jadis tempts him with the apple. There is an empty world, then Aslan (representing God) comes and brings it to life. At the stone table, it is like a cross, because Aslan is killed but comes back to life. There's lots of connections.
