I don't think so. But as long as you know that it is wrong to kill people in real life. I like the game too. Did you play the level where you kill civilians or did you choose to skip it?

I don't believe it's a sin but I strongly recommend not playing it. It has too much pointless violence(all violence is pointless) and too much blood. It can desensitze you to the consequences of your actions in real life and make you a more morbid preson. Also, Jesus said thinking something is just as much a sin as doing it, so you should think about that. We are supposed to do what our Lord would have done. Would he have played an electronic fantasy glorifing violence and death?

You know, all violence is not pointless. If we had just begged the Japanese to have mercy on us rather than to drop the atom bombs and prove a point to them, what would have happened? The Japenese would have kept attacking and we would have surrendered. I have to admit though, the level where you go in and kill everyone in the airport is fun...but somewhat pointless.
i love that mission

If playing COD:MW2 was a sin, why would God influence the programmers to make the game?

Honestly, I think that's the worst mission in the Call of Duty series. Killing other soldiers is one thing, but shooting civilians is just too much.

Don't get me wrong, I still think it's an awesome game. I just won't be playing that one mission again.

He never had time! He was too busy preaching, healing, and dying for us!

To express my CoD opinons, I get bored of it. Its pretty much the same thing the whole dam time, they just add little tid bits everytime a new one comes out.

Now Halo 3 keeps my attention. Mostly because of Forge. That keeps people entertained for months, and for me, years. There has not been a day when I run out of ideas for games in Halo 3.

My personal favorite is a track that you have to drive a mongoose on and another guy has to try to either snipe, or rocket all of you befor you get to the end. The twist is that he is really far away, so he has to aim slightly in front of the head with a sniper. With rockets, you just need to be really lucky...

What makes you think GOD did it...satan has influence in this world as well.

Guess I didn't think of him... I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused anyone for forgetting about that guy.

@Arkangel: Huh?

Now, my stance is that playing FPS games isn't a sin.
Even though "Thou shalt not kill", you're not really removing any life from the universe.
But, if you think life is a FPS, shooting people for real, you're surely going to you-know-where.

as long as you can tell reality from a video game and not get desesitized to violence It is okay(in my opinion)
