Do you think that it was right for (Whoever) to chop down the tree that people thought was their god?

I read in religion that (Don't know his name) chopped down a tree that people thought was their god? I think it was wrong, because not everyone believes in the same things. What about you guys?

Hmm,that's weird,I've never heard of anything like that.

Yeah. I think he was a saint. I'm 99.99% sure it's true (Unless I was dreaming about saints chopping down trees)

Hehehe, when I read the topic,I thought of that thing about George Washington chopping down a tree or whatever it was. :P do you live in the U.S.A?

your right the tree was a god for the druids and he destroyed it to show it was powerless against god and put a huge dent in their pagan beliefs

Harland is right, it was St.Benificae(Ithink that's how you spell it...) who destroyed the tree, the druids were hanging people on the tree and slashing them up. Benificae shattered their beliefs when he cut down the tree. I believe it was the right and godly thing to do because he converted many of the druids to Christianity. If I had the choice to either respect ones belief, or shock them and save several souls for Christ, I would disregard their beliefs and save their souls.
