Guess what guys? As most people have known already, school has started up again. I'm going through things very well. High school, teachers, new friends and such. But as we were going through the things we would be learning in our classes, something stuck out at me. My science course is biology(study of life, for the ones who don't know) and one of the things on the list of things to learn is evolution. I guess that means I'll have a fun time professing my faith and arguing with my science teacher, while trying to keep a steady grade. I'm not quite sure when we'll get to learning it, but I want you guys to pray that I'll be brave enough to speak out. I know I didn't need to type this much, but I felt like keeping you guys informed. (I have no problem with non-Christians in this group, but because this topic has to do with something against Christianity(as far as evolution), this would be a Christian disscussion. Thanks.)

I have the same thing. My teacher, is required by law to teach the course eventhough he doesn't agree with it, I guess I will have to hold my tounge like I did when they taught religion and skipped Christiananity

Taught religion and SKIPPED Christianity? Wow, that must have stunk. If I were you i would have said something. Not yell at them for it, but at least mention something abaout it.

Satan controls the world. He's had several thousand years to get to this point, and as a result Christianity is pretty much outlawed from schools. That is why muslims and other false religions aren't treated the same, because those religions don't lead you to God, which is all Satan cares about. If you don't get to God, then he's happy. So my point is don't be too surprised when stuff like this happens.

Here is what a friend of mine did, she would answer the questions saying, "the book says..." to evolution questions. Then at the end of the test she would right, "I don't believe what the book says."

My mom actually mentioned that. She said to answer the questions how they want them answered and at the end of the tests and papers to say that I don't believe what there saying and that I'm a Christian. Like I sayed before though, I'm not sure when there going to get to it.

Well, Thomas has been incorrect and everything. Just because they don't believe in Jesus being the son of God, that doesn't mean their religion is fake. I mean, seriously...

Well, Thomas has been incorrect and everything. Just because they don't believe in Jesus being the son of God, that doesn't mean their religion is fake. I mean, seriously...

Then how do you explain Jesus saying "I am the way the truth and the life, NO ONE (meaning without exception) comes to the Father except through me" ?

And DO NOT cause an uproar like Gen. Frazier is suggesting. When prayer to anyone but the king was outlawed, Daniel didn't go waltzing into the king's court and start praying to God, or in this case into school carrying a Bible. He went home into his room, and then he prayed. See the difference? We can stand for what is right, but we need to be smart about how we do it. Don't create a scene because then you will ruin your Christian witness. No one will take what you say seriously, and just think of you as "the wacky christian." That's why I like the afore-mentioned method of taking the test, and giving their answers, but saying that you don't believe them. You do the work, and pass the test, the school is happy.

I will pray for you Marcus. I remember when I had to study evolution in science. Also, a very good movie to watch that is related to this topic is Expelled, with Ben Stein.

Thanks for everything guys. Thanks for the tip about not causeing an uproar Tom. And even though Gen. Fraiser(wrong spelling isn't it?) had a bad idea about bringing a Bible to school, he provided a great video. So I thank you all for your tips, views, and ideas on the topic. One other thing I would like to say though, is even though my account name is High Admiral Marcus, I just want to let everyone know that my real name is actually just Mark. I use Marcus because it looks and sounds cooler. That and some of my friends in my school use it as a nick-name for me. Just wanted to clarify that so your praying for Mark and not the "High Admiral". Thanks again guys.

I've been there, man. It's tough to give an answer to a question that you don't belive is even remotely true. All I can say is hang in there, and oppose it whenever possible. Perhapse you should do alittle reaserch and come up with an argument when you're comfronted. What ever you do, stay calm and defend your faith with knowledge, rather than pure emotion. Don't let them just cast you away as a "Religous fanatic", but do agure the point in an intellectual manner.

your friend and brother in Christ,
Jake ;)

I'll pray for you. Also, if you could pray for me, that'd be great! I go to a Christian school, but there is a few immature kids, and they make fun of me for getting A's in every class. See ya in Heaven someday! I remeber public school.....
