Being one of the 386 members of this group, and an unimportant one at that, even I can see that most people are mad at other people for one reason or another. I will say nothing, except that we should get back to talking about stuff that this group SHOULD be talking about.

So I started youth group this Wednesday, and I don't think that most people there are there for the Bible part of BIBLE Study. Most of the people there think of it as a great place to show off some great jokes. Could you pray that they will focus more?
Cole

Sure,I'll pray for your youth group. My church is starting theres up....next Wednesday. As for getting along....we try. I try to get along with everyone I can, but of course there are the people who can't. Of course I won't be mentioning any names.

I will pray for you, too. I think prayer is also in need for the CFOL.

sure. I guess my youth group was like that a little bit, people would just come to play foosball and leave when we had the message or study... you just have to try and show them whi gid reakky is, then they will want to come for the bible part.(although convincing or showing them would be kina hard)

"The cross is foolish to the flesh." Convincing them to accept Christ isn't your job. You can direct them and give a good witness, but it is the work of the Holy Spirit that moves us to accept Christ. Now I'm not going into predestination or anything, but you don't have to "convince" them. Just give them the truth as God directs you (and the key is to be led, and not get ahead of God), and God will do the rest. :-)

I recall saying I wasn't getting into predestination/freewill. So that's what I mean and I don't want to see a thread on that subject. The point was that you don't have to sugar coat the gospel. Give them the truth as God directs, and He will take care of the rest. (I have now effectively repeated almost everything I said earlier...awkward)

The Lord blessed our church with a contemporary Christian band. They have great music to, and lead worship as we sing along. The're making progress, and if the're ever able to make cd's I'll be sure to request that they put them on Youtube so I can post them on my page.(My church is non-dinominational if your wondering)

In the famous words of Russ Taff, "Sometimes, it's hard for me to understand, how we can pull away from each other so easily, even though, even though..." "but I don't care, what label you may ware. If you believe in Jesus, you belong with me, the bond we share is all I care to see..." (We Will Stand, Russ Taff)

My youth group has similar problem, lack of focus. Though we got rid of gym/game night because no one was coming, however despite the fact they are all in the Bible study they still have little focus... though they're getting better. But they end up talking to each other about nonscence. So I know what your going through and will definetly keep you in prayer.
