Hate can be something very powerful... I wouldn't say don't worry about it, I'd say just be a little wary of this person.

You don't have to say hate. Any underlying dislike, no matter how small or subtle, can be awoken into something greater... Beleive me, I've seen tiny conflicts erupt into huge fights before, and fighting on the internet isn't the best way to spend your time.

I am glad you kept the discussion civil, but please be more careful in the future when accusing someone of something (in other words don't name a topic like this) just please be a bit more careful in the future.
(and I knew atheists can be civil, my extended family has some of the nicest people you'll ever meet, but they aren't Christians (yet) so you don't have to remind me) :-)
