And because I'm me, no one expects the Spanish Inquisition!

The Church didn't do that. The Spanish king and queen are the ones who perpetrated that crime.

I am not familiar with La Purga so I really can't comment. Also, I was not talking about La Purga.

The book "Angels and Demons" is not a good historical reference. In fact, I consider it fiction.

you might want to know this but these scientist were trying to prove science was a y to prove gods existence right, well the church didnt want that since it would contradict their words of being the SOLE way to god so they committed la purga. imagine if la purga hadnt happened and those scientists accomplished some of their mission. do u believe there would be more christians today?

How would you prove that with science? I don't think the laws of the physical world or anything apply to God, some other god, or gods, if they're out there.

Yes, I know the Church had a strangle hold on science. Yes, I know that the scientists were trying to help prove God. No, I don't believe there would be more Christians today. People who don't believe in God refuse all evidence that He exists.

Never heard of it. Not sure what to think of it either. God and science are two very different things. Science applies to the world around us. The concept of God or Gods applies to something beyond physical boundries, or else how would they do any of the stuff credited to them? That's just my look on it all.

well the god particle if im not mistaken is an antimatter particle or summin like that but its the opposite to a normal particle. it proves what god said which was that everything comes in twos even particles, but this particle created if only for a few seconds, a miniature universe when it came into contact with normal matter

In this context, "the church" refers to the Roman Catholics on that era. I believe that their motives, actions, and beliefs are completely wrong.

The church of those days was extremely deluded, and extremely wrong.

Father Khal, I'm pretty sure that all anti-matter is the opposite of matter, actually.

Commander Rusty, that made me laugh, and it's true.
