Neither is fragile, but if your cat is going to knock it off a shelf, I'd go with the MTT.

The mtt is really good! It comes with 20 minifigs.

It's kind of fragile. If you grip too hard on the top (where the droid storage is), it breaks (And often falls to the floor). The wings CAN fall off, do NOT shake the gunship too much. And the cockpit normally can't be opened without the glass falling off.

That's pretty much all that's fragile.

ok thanks! what about the doors?

Use the switch in the back.
If you're going to open the doors by hand, they have a high chance of falling off if you don't "follow the brick".

what about the minifigs i heard they were damaged or somthing?

Only damage you're going to experience is mental damage, after the dissapointment of the low number of MFs compared to price XD

Quoting Brickdude !!!
there is very little minifigs for its size but i think somthing must have gone wrong when they shipped the "broken" one, and it got its figs messed up.

What happened there?

I missed out on the original sets so I jumped on both the new ones. I don't find much wrong with the gunship, except its shape could be more accurate, but it is plenty strong enough, and big. The at-te is just ok. Its sturdy, but you can't do much with it, and the legs can't move much. the new mtt has good value because of minifigs. I was underwhelmed by the at-te, but I think all the sets you mentioned are ok as far as strength goes.

Hope that helps. And don't worry about this not being Bible related there is no rule that says threads must be spiritually centered, in fact I encourage more lego oriented conversations, to help us all become better builders. :-)
