I've been thinking about the apocolypse. It's viewed as the end of the world. But isn't it just the end of man? Why would God destroy all other life. What have they done besides live like any other thing. They do what they need to survive. We are the ones being punished in the end not the world. The apocalypse is only the end of man. Not all life on earth. Post your opinions.

Animals and other life forms are sinful too, right?

Good point. But really, it would be not sinful for animals to eat others, because they don't have a choice like humans. Humans are special animals, specially made by God.

Ayup.
As an example: if dogs were advanced enough to be Christians, and had the chance to marry like humans, I don't think they'd "do it" outside marriage.

Remember that God put us humans on a special position on the earth. I don't think the Bible mentions animals being sinful. Most likely God has a future secured for them.:)

What are you talking about?!?!?

Revelation 21:1 says

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

which is understood to be a new heaven and a new earth, as the old ones passed/an or gone away. And there was no sea.

which bible u readin? i swear mine wasnt this complicated lol

anyway that was john right?

and as for what i was saying
the four horsemen
death
pestilence
famine
and i cant remember the last one

they are said to destroy earth(the apocalypse)

then the humans are sorted "like goats and sheep"

and then they get into the "EVERLASTING" kingdom of heaven...which according to jesus carrys on going and growing like "yeast" in bread

Really? Animals don't have souls? I have two dogs, and they do actually have feelings. They do make mistakes, and simply don't know about the scripture.

EDIT: Everything God created was obviously idea- it is just that humans were created to be dominant.

And the quote about animals torturing humans is from Revelations- you can't take what it says literally (I mean take it serious, but Revelations is full of metaphors).

Now, I am not saying animals are exactly like humans, but really, if my dogs do get in fights (over a treat, for example) they do seem to forgive each other by licking and everything. You can tell animals have feelings, and I doubt they just die. Though they aren't as knowledgeable as men.

By definition, humans ARE animals. Animals are defined as any living organism that feeds off of organic matter, has a central nervous system and specialized organs, and responds quickly to stimuli (i.e. pain).

Correct. But I assume in this topic we are using "animal" as an non-human organism that fits your description.

in genesis it says god put a soul into man it did not say he put one into animals( just because you have feelings, your dogs, doesn't mean you have a soul.

The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence.

Well said Chuck. However, I would point you to Genesis where God makes man in His image. What separates us from animals? They have feelings as we do. But, they don't have souls. God tells us that animals are placed on earth for work and food, and to eat them, we have to kill them. It would be wrong to kill animals for food if they had souls, would it not? However, we can reason that they do not have souls because we are given a command to eat them for food.

Survival of the fittest is just an evolutionist theory, it's a fact, and has nothing to do with evolution. This is another reason people thing the CFOL is a joke...

That certain mouse obviously isn't fit to exist if it has been eaten, however mice as a species must survive to continue and feed the predator population.

ive got complicated beliefs

the church is not the sole way to god, otherwise there would only be one branch

god created animals to survive in my view so in a way, evoloution as u put it is his way of making sure animals and humans dont overpopulate

and finally as chuck said, its a fact not a theory

Pretty much. The idea behind survival of the fittest is that the faster mouse would get away and bread, allowing offspring to be faster in theory.

or when chuck norris catches up to someone

after all there is no evoloution, only a list of animals he allows to live lol
