Could we build from any book?

Are we allowed to use LDD? Will it effect our score?

Any book! LDD is strongly discouraged. But not forbidden. Please try building in real lego.

Cool! Well, my my collection is currently pretty much drained on useful parts, so I'll just have to be creative with those specialized parts ;) I'll see what i can do.

We give you a category or a set of categories in the case of the first round. You may interpret the category however you want using a book you have read!

Okay, so the category would be like a genre or period of time or something?

Or a type of literature etc. I will do my best to make sure the categories are not book specific to make it fair!

So when Round 1 starts, basically we can build from whatever book we want and have a Wikipedia page about the book (or passage) and that's it?

I mean if you can fit it into the category. I would suggest not just a pic of a bionicle though. Make like a mini one and build a Background around him or something.

Not in the first rounds. In the later rounds you may be restricted by size.

Is it possible that could place some sort of penalty for LDD builders? In LDD you have an unlimited supply of bricks so I think if you do LDD you should get points taken away from the start.

I was thinking it would be an easier place to ask judging questions, and to give you the scores before you kick off the next round.

If you don't do powers of two you will end up with like a three way battle like with the number six. Say there is
Guy A
Guy B
Guy C
Guy D
Guy E
Guy F

You can not Make it so only two contestants are left at the end!

So, if there are three contestants at the end, then we'll give a category to each one of them.

*SMF* You obviously aren't experienced in contests! No they will be matched up
Guy A vs Guy B
Guy C vs Guy D
Guy E vs Guy F
Guy G vs Guy H
Then the winners of the categories move on and face the other winners.

That is why it has to be a power of two to avoid that.
