Welcome to Round 4 (the final round) of the 2013 Middle Earth MocAthalon! First off, thank you to all the contestants who entered Round 3. You did amazing, and I hope to see you all back next year. Congrats to the contestants who made it into Round 4. It was hard to judge, you all had fantastic entries. To those who didn't make it, don't feel bad, you guys did amazing! Also, thanks to everyone who entered this year, it was definitely fun.

All right, now that I've gotten the introduction out of the way, I'll get on to the brackets, matchups, categories, and required materials. Before you read any further, though, I suggest you return to the Rules Topic to refresh your memory. We don't wish to DQ anyone for forgetting a rule and such.

Round 4 will begin now and end on August 18th, 2013 at 11:59 pm MOCpages time.

Required Materials:

For Round 4, please make sure you have the following materials in your entry.

Title:
Please title your entry:
MEMA Round 4: [Your name] vs. [Your Opponents Name]

Please include a working link to the group in your entry. Also, A link to your opponent's page should be included, if you enter after your opponent. A link to your creation should also be included in the appropriate thread.

Please also state your category and bracket at the top of your entry.

*This part is important*
In the final round, the two brackets will be merged into the Men's Bracket. There will be 4 judges in this Round, and Michael Kringe will be the tiebreaker judge for us.

Now, ladies and gentlemen, the moment you've all been waiting for: The brackets, matchups, and categories!

This year's Round 4 theme: The Fellowship of the Ring

The Men's Bracket:

KW Vauban vs. A M
Category: Rivendell
The Fellowship of the Ring has begun their quest, and is journeying towards Mt. Doom! But first, they go to Rivendell to discover the fate of the one ring! Well, the discussion isn't going to be pretty, though the city probably is!

The judges in the Men's Bracket will be Halhi 141, David, David the Fire Ninja Jedi and A Sargent. Tiebreaker judge will be Michael Kringe.

Good luck to the 2 contestants in Round 4, and let the building commence!
~Andrew

Probably. I would recommend to A Sargent to not use brackets for the last two rounds and instead have all six judges vote, to make sure that the results are as good as possible, but I know that in this round it was done because two of the judges went inactive :/

Yeah. Hopefully, all the judges can be active next year.

Why am I not judging? I was active the whole way through and never missed judging...I volunteered for the whole way as it was originally called for... Just those who aren't active shouldn't judge :/

I agree that you should judges instead of David, you were way more active :/
But we 4 judges would cause ties. 5 or 6 would be ideal (six is enough so that ties are unlikely), but since we only have four active judges, if there's a tie then that would be a problem...

Right...voting could cause a tie :/
Michael Kringe isn't around? Maybe he could be the tiebreaker?

You're right, that's true. Why don't you judge in his place for now, as of the time being?

I'm fine with not judging for this round, since I have less LOTR knowledge than the others (I've never seen the movies, just read the books)

I didn't think I could be inactive here... When there's hardly anything to be active about except actually judging. :| I dunno, I was kinda happy to be selected to judge in the final round. :D

I can judge, but if David TFNJ wants to judge I'm fine with removing myself from the bracket.

Well, I won't be available until the 18th to judge things, so if the creations come in earlier and you want the results in faster, then you can judge without me. I still think all of us should judge and then have Michal Kringe be the tie-breaker.
