Soda vs Soda!

 Group admin
Another new topic? Yes, I feel an innocent topic is at hand. I have seen a few suggestions of Coke vs Pepsi. Thats great, but many of our International members (hence the name of the group) may not be as familiar with those products. So, down below, list your favorite soda, and how it stacks up against its rival.

Cockta!!! If coca-cola is coffe, then Cockta is tea.

You should try it out if you get the chance. After you taste Cockta, you wil know why they say coca-cola is rain water with a worm soaking in it for three days.

Who owns this "Cockta"? It seems that almost all soda companies are owned by Pepsi or Coca-cola, so.

I believe it is deep in the piramyd system of Mercator, which is the highest I know in the hierarchy. But I know that Mercator itself is owned by a larger company.

Looks like that was taken over by "M-Rodic", a Serbian company.
I dunno. I haven't tried it. But it sounds interesting; though the size of Coca-cola will keep this product out of the international market.

Not necessacelery. Often a large multinational will simply buy a company outright if they think a certain product has marketable value. It's a lot easier than reinventing something. Happens with potato chips, too.
Anyway, I like Coke! More of a caramel flavoring than Pepsi. It's still the standard.

Pepsi Throwback all the way, if you can find it. But even regular Pepsi tastes much better to me than Coca-Cola.

Also, I think Sierra Mist is much better than Sprite.

I agree with the Sierra Mist bit. But, I don't know. Coca-cola is, classic. I can taste the different between Pepsi and Coke, but it just seems that Pepsi took coke and then threw in extra sugar.

Caramel flavour... Tastes like sugared water, without the more sophisticated taste of caramel.

Weird how you can really taste water in coca-cola...

Well. Does your soda have its own factory that you can visit and watch a movie at and otherwise enjoy?? ;-)

Well, I would recommend (and I don't really know this from personal experience) for you to look at shops near US military installations. US soldiers would drink that, and I would think that, to turn a profit, stores around that area would sell root beer. Just a hunch though.

Well. I am talking about occasionally. I drink water most of the time (we drink water during every meal) but sometimes, I drink a cola. Anything, with moderation, isn't bad for you (except poison).

Even poison can be good in moderation. Of course, moderation here means minimal medical doses.

Coke or Pepsi?

Yes.

Not sure about the Amerilander corn syrup version, but around here it's real sugar, since we don't have quite the same sort of health nazis.

Okay..... right.

Only difference between poison and medicine is the dose.

Rat poison, for instance, is great for people with weak hearts. Thins the blood splendidly.

Of course, too much and it'll do for you what it does for the rat, but at least you won't have heart failure.
Quoting Dylan Something
I choose neither.
...
Dr. Mercola is a completely reliable alternative physician.

Completely reliable panic-monger by the sound of it.

Besides, I don't think anyone's going around claiming it's 'healthy'.

Kind of like those state-sponsored 'studies' showing that subsisting on a diet of pure takeaways will damage your health; well, DURR.

2-3 litres of the frakking stuff each and every day? Well, no surprise you're going to have problems.

Kind of like those articles about MMO players and how they die from their hobby, when you open up the actual article and find out they've been poopsocking nonstop for a week or more.

Don't. Coffee tastes horrible. Health-wise, fresh coffee is about 10 times better than an ice cold Coca-Cola but the coke is so much better tasting.

If I want caffeine, I'll have a coffee. If I want a cool, refreshing beverage, I'll have something orange, like Fanta or Tango (again, basically the same thing, Tango is slightly sweeter, while Fanta actually tastes of oranges). Never really liked coke, but I love the coke-flavour sweets in Haribo. Can't figure out why.

Not really. As with all poisons, a small amount can act as a stimulant, a larger amount a sedative, and an even larger dose can be lethal. But it's all poison, and none of it is good for you no matter how much you take, or how ineffective it seems. :P
