Questions 15: First Blood Part 2
Here's one, referring to the order-of-attack thing. If someone gets wiped out before they post their attack, the attack is void. How about if someone loses e.g. all but 2 of their coastal territories in one AW? If they launch an attack across the sea later in the same AW, is it still valid on the basis that they had that capability at the start of the AW?

...I'm a free man!

By hook or by crook.

Wait, I thought one of you was Number 2?

Now that's not very polite...

Immaturity aside, can I be number 6?

How is it that you know "The Prisoner" but you have never seen "Blade Runner"? Too much "Wapole Bay"?

Heeheehee... The Prisoner's great. What other show has a giant beachball as the prison guard? On the subject of what I've seen, my repertoire is growing. I just watched the Matrix earlier this week. ;) Plus, I'll have to watch Blade Runner before I can see the Red Dwarf film. You know, all the references and stuff.
And man, you've got to watch Wapos Bay. They have an episode where David Suzuki is Obi-Wan Kenobi and they're fighting Terminators...

Tried to find Wapos Bay, not easy. Sounds like the kind of lunacy I enjoy.

I do have to ask, however, you JUST NOW saw the Matrix? ?!?!? Really? I'm actually kinda curious as to how you haven't seen it. Rating? You have represented yourself as quite mature, I don't see how your age could be the reason. I could reference the MO and say that it was perhaps against your religious beliefs. But, I REALLY don't want to start THAT here. ;) Sorry, it just strikes me as odd for a young man not to have seen it. It's standard issue for any guy.

I'm very glad that you have seen it though. It is an exemplary movie of what I consider "true" sci-fi. Thought provoking, reality questioning, mind altering, AND things blowed up real good.

You should try and get ATPN Kids, they show it on Saturdays. I also found some dvds in the library, though I don't think they made too many....

Haha, yeah... I'm not sure either. I've seen a lot worse, and I have no religious qualms with anything. Man, that was one sweet film. Definitely on my list of movies to build scenes from.

Keanu Reaves is just awesome, hence I re-watched Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure today. The question is, what next? Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, or the Matrix 2? ;)

Okay. Tough choice. The Matrix series is truly fantastic. The first one is by far the best. But don't let that discourage you from watching all three. Stellar trilogy.

Bogus Journey was in a realm all it's own. I think I know the answer to this, but have you seen The Seventh Seal? Ingmar Bergman film about a man playing a game of chess with Death. Classic. (It's also VERY long and slow and plodding. Still great.) Anyways, Bogus references this, as well as Star Trek (the original series), quite cleverly. Still great if you don't catch the references.

I think you have selected Keanu's best performances. Granted, that ain't sayin' much. But if you're in the mood for Keanu and want great action and one of THE best chase scenes in movie history, watch Point Break. Not Sci-fi, but still good. AND Gary Busy as an FBI agent, WITH A GUN! Horror movie right there.

Are you sure? Have you tried taking the red pill? (Just to reference the rest of this thread...)

Seriously though, thanks for the clear (and sane!) answer.

or the Matrix 2? ;)

All the follow on films suck man. The first film is the cream of the thought, and the rest is a money hunt.

Watch Escape From New York! Seen it... then watch it again!

Best film EVER!

Concur.

Several recommendations:
The Wages of Fear
Miller's Crossing
High Noon (Has Lee Van Cleef as well)
Showgirls (Gotta set the bar low somewhere)
Metropolis
Escape from L.A. (Michael, you know you loved it. Tsunami surfing with Peter Fonda? Win, win!)
The Limey (Speaking of Peter Fonda)
City of Lost Children
Dark City
Sin City
City of Tiny Lights (Sorry, that one is a Zappa song. Got city carried away.)
V for Vendetta (The comics were better but the movie was pretty awesome.)
Convoy (Just kidding.)
The Wild Bunch (Slo-mo death.)
Hardboiled (Chow Yun-Fat at his best.)

I'll stop for now. You need to expand your horizon with movies other than Avatar (Showgirls is better.)

I will die. I may sound defeatist and pessimistic, but I am realistic about my chances. I'll probably be first come first served on a silver platter. :P

No. No! NO! NO!!! NO!!! NOOOOO!!!

Avatar was a waste of perfectly good blank film. 3 hours of my life that I will NEVER get back! I am sad.

Dennis? Take care of this.

Hi guys, I think my dual M.O./D.A. entry effort has been deleted from the Group - is it disqualified or am I allowed to re-add it?

Sorry, I axed it as soon as I saw M.O.

If Keith cleard it, then it's good to go. I just don't like the lines to get blured.

Additional yellow heads due to entry in an unrelated group... not against the rules tecnically.

So again, repost and continue to march man.

Sorry.
