Mr. Brick Boy,

I respectfully decline your generous appointment. I have not posted a single MOC to this group, and until I do so, accepting any rank in this group would be silly.

But... I will stay in the group, and I will continue to assist you with any ideas I might have as well as by calling out any really really nasty behavior I see amongst other group members.

I'm no police officer... Just think of me as a concerned citizen who is ready and willing to assist you and Mr. Freeling in this endeavor.

Mike

I accept your decline to this over. Although, I will still consider you a very good source of ideas..but really, you should add your intro!
Also, I appointed you because...I think you are one of the smartest people in the group. No offense to everyone else;)
I soppose Luke the Swift will take charge of this duty, as he as offered to.

Mythronians, Rainosians, Nerogueians, and persons of questionable employment, I have some changes to announce:
First of all, the admins have decided that no one will have the ability to switch factions after earning one hundred character points or more. Players are still allowed to switch as they see fit until that time to find which faction suits them best, but this is discouraged for the sake of intra-factional unity. On the bright side, considering that even the busiest and longest-participating players are still far from reaching one hundred points, this edict should not affect anyone for some time.
Secondly, ranks and permissions have been standardized across all factions. All ranking challenges are now set at intervals of twenty-five points and are directly tied to powers such as forming guilds (unlocked with the 25-point challenges) and attacking cities (unlocked with the 100-point challenges). Rainos and the Outlaws have already adopted the new system, and the other factions will soon follow.
That's all I have. Keep building!

Should we make a challenge (not specific to any faction) that grants this? It would be like a Rank/Clan challenge except that it is for everyone (kind of like guilds are for anyone). We could add it to the homepage (then those titles would be more useful as well).

Results of the Persuasion RC are in! With fifteen entrants, this is the LOM challenge with the highest participation ever. If this trend continues and twenty people make it into the current UC (Mythron Attacks!), we will award points for both first and second place as well as base the events of the next challenge on the battle... But that's not what you wanted to hear. Without further ado, the winner is

DAVID THE FIRE NINJA JEDI with his awesome tree-and-rock diorama, persuading some outlaws to join the cult of Nerogue!

The scores, calculated roughly out of fifty, are as follow:

David the Fire Ninja Jedi- 45.5

Jacob Pennington- 38.5

George Marshall- 37.5

Gilbert Despathens- 37.5

The Object of Legend- 34

Thatch Gears- 33.801

Chris- 33

Stephen Boe- 33

Andrew the Jedi Ninja- 32.5

Brick Boy- 32

That guy you saw earlier- 29

~ McLegofreak- 29

Ian- 28

~ Rukar- 22

Great building everyone, and I hope to see your names in the lists of the UCMA! Be sure to congratulate FNJ, Jacob Pennington, and whoever ended up with third for the top builds.

Royalty means the High King and his immediate family. By other players' characters I mean characters introduced and/or operated by other players. For example, someone's main character's comrade or enemy is a secondary character belonging to the player who created it. This would include Cedric the Bull, because I introduced him, or one of the crown princes, because they are closely related to the High King.

Important information regarding discussing/using/making up things about other factions in your MOCs:

If you want to put something about another faction's past in your MOC, go to that faction's leader. You could make up past events that other factions did, and then go to the faction leader and see if it would fit with something they would have done.

If you want to find out a standpoint of a faction on a certain subject or action point to use it or describe it in your MOC, then again, go to that faction's leader to see if it would fit.

If yes, then your MOC becomes something more real because it has accurate facts about a faction (which is also better for those looking at the MOC who do not know anything about the factions).

To talk to another faction's leader, just go to the necessary faction thread. If the faction leader does not get back to you within three days, then another member of that faction or two other faction leaders will answer the question for you. (note that a answer missed by the faction leader in consideration could be corrected in the future if the given answer was not correct. But the MOC made would still be considered valid, but then the information would then become outdated. Hopefully this will not happen.)

New facts/trivia gained from your builds will be added to the Creatures/History thread in the appropriate faction comment.

I would like to make a request of everyone in the Lands of Mythron, please. As many of you know, a recent new character introduced with his first three MOCs a Romanesque culture to the Lands of Mythron. Some people have been upset by this addition from a new player and several have expressed their feelings in comments both here in the main group and in the apparent refuge of the Rainos faction group. My news to you is: he gets it. The admins are working on a solution that will benefit everybody, and your criticism is not helping. Please drop the topic unless you have something helpful to suggest.

For those who are building their entries for the UC and plan to show in the MOCs that they are joining a Black Lotus group, then head on over and join the Black Lotus group and click join.
http://www.mocpages.com/group.php/23915

Yes, you need approval to join the group.
Those allowed in the group via UC challenge are:
Outlaws - can be for or against the Black Lotus
Nerogueians - can only be against the Black Lotus
Enalicans - can only be for the Black Lotus
Rainosians - can only be for the Black Lotus

Do not attempt to join the Black Lotus group if you do not fit into one of the above factions as well as agreeing with what is said about them there.

As of now, Mythronians are not allowed in the group.
Just reply to the comment linked to below to verify that you are joining the BL group as well as stating if you are for or against the Black Lotus so that I can let you into the group:

Haha, don't you realize that Meids is my home territory (= I'm more familiar with it)? Anyway, I'm not sure whether to be happy or not, because Kai and I have revolved our stories around me being in Falmor. Idk, I just don't think it's right to change your plans at the last minute like this when we've spent so long on this - I've planned the next few months of my story around Halbert staying in southern Mythron, and this kinda ruins it.

Since this is the second time, everyone should know the drill - I will declare the opening MOC-off on May 1 and both my entry and Meid's defender's entry must be posted no later than May 21.

And on this day I declare than your blood shall stain the ground of Mythron, and our people will cry out in rejoice!

My point still stands; he shouldn't have been telling us that he was going to attack Falmor unless he actually was going to follow through and attack it.

But we truly was going to attack Falmor, until last week.

I just don't see how it's supposed to benefit you, anyway. I'm sure he's planned his story around the Falmor attack, and it's not like he has a different person to beat.

To add to my above points, one of our UC missions in the faction group was about preparing for the Falmor attack.

Sorry Sr Gills, but whatever respect I had for you is now lost.

Dude, you really don't get that I lie, prevaricate, misdirect and spread chaos for the fun of it? As for your story, you do realize that you don't have to use your main characters in city attack builds? Also, even if this still upsets your plans, that really is something you need to learn to deal with. I revolved my story around the current challenge happening months ago only to have it wrecked again and again by the continued delays. Finally, if you REALLY don't want to build, let Brick defend his own town... or at least pay him the courtesy of waiting for him to ask you before you assume charge of the defense.

I'm sorry about your story - it wasn't my intent to destroy it. It was my intent to attack Falmor about two months ago when George was still around, you knew nothing about building buildings and most of Mythron was hyped for the MA, but I was nice and threw away my advantages. That's why I had that rant just now.

1) Nerogue is allies with Mythron
2) Mythron > Nerogue for me at least
3) You'll be getting closer to Neroguian territory
4) I'm in Meids right now.

Yes, I know, but there's a point where it gets to be too much. With little things it's fine, with important things it's not.

And I already got Brick's permission.

Alrighty then. I suppose using Reghof would work best anyway - that way I have an excuse for him separating from Inigo...

That being said, we do have a ton of people defending Meids for the UC, so I suppose it's better than attacking Carthal or something.

I'd almost prefer that you did, given that my characters currently reside in Carthal and that would fit very well into my story. :P

We have results for the May Universal Challenge! They're a day late (which is entirely my fault) but still hot and fresh off the abacus. Enjoy!

In first place, we have David FNJ with his entry, Unmasked!

~ Brick slid in into second place with his depiction of the Battle of Reedus!

Finally, continuing his long chain of successful UC and RC entries, Toa Infernum takes third place with his meeting place near Reedus.

Since there were only eighteen entries last month, points will only be awarded for first place. However, the entry pool was excellent - I can honestly say that all of the judges were flabbergasted by the difficult decisions they had to make. Keep it up and make us work even harder this month, please!

Someone has overthrown the LOM Chatroom. They have come in and guessed the PW, which is quite humiliating... They heard that I was a big naruto fan and then put two and two together.... Uh.....

Anyways, Whoever is responsible for this will be punished, unless they promptly turn over the Password to me, and then we can get back on with out lives.

So, how are you going to punish them if you don't have the chat room password, and you don't know who they are in the main group? Seems like you are in a bit of a jam.

Of course, thus being human nature, the chances are quite high that the culprit will start boasting soon, in which case the game will be up. Finally, I guess that you will resort to banning him from every group you can, or at least from LOM.

Or he could admit right now. Then, you'd probably still ban him.

To validly argue that someone is guilty, you need to provide incriminating evidence against them, show the had the ability, a motive and also opportunity.

Ability: Asad had the PW

Opportunity: There were few people in the chat room, so he could easily ban everyone. My internet was lagging so it took me longer to ban him

Motive: Fueled by a madness that was caused by him realizing classic figs sucked, Asad acted without needing a motive.

Incriminating evidence: About 30 seconds after Asad left the chat room, Tyrant entered the chat room. Asad has come back in after the Tyrant incident.

I'm available to hire as an internet lawyer if anyone else needs to restore order to their chatrooms and they need someone to find a scapegoat.

All hail the new moderators: Thomas of Tortuga of Orfdor of Enalica the Trader (erstwhile Alphonsus Ligouri... I think that's right); Stephen ”Phtephano” Boe, alias Destrian of Nerogue; Kai Bernstein, creator of the staff-wielding Outlaw, Ganner; Ian, his trail of dots and his character Adamus from Mythron; and Adam ”Asad .” Brunsting, master of the Rainosian Spine dynasty. Please disregard any notifications you received to the contrary - I may or may not have hit one or two wrong buttons. Also, if you didn't make it this time, keep heart - there's another position that will need filling soon by a player from any faction with any level of LOM experience (hint: Rainos faction-leadership). Enough of that, now - get back to praising the mods or they will delete your comments with gusto!

In the face of the staff group's growing difficulty keeping up with the amount of MOCs posted, the LOM is changing its scorekeeping methods to spread the effort across every player.

After the final update in early July, each player will be responsible for making a list of his or her LOM MOCs with links to each one and their respective point value. This list can be anywhere - a character intro, a separate page (with a picture of something Lego to keep the site mods happy) or even a comment in the points thread. I recommend one of the first options for convenience in editing.

Next, post a link to the page or comment with your points in the Points of the People thread. A staff member will check it for accuracy and replace your points information with the link. Whenever you post a new LOM entry, simply add it to the list and adjust your point total. The staff will still go on rounds to ensure accuracy and update stats like faction points and the top ten list on a regular basis.
