As much as I hate to admit it, even my weekend have now been sucked up by school, my job and my family. S o I need to hand the torch off to someone else, I'm appointing Squid and de-ranking myself to mod until I can become more active in the group again.

I'm not stopping, I'll come in when I can and I'm still working on a creation right now, but at the moment I never have the free time to mess with my LEGO, and when I do I'm too tired and watch tv or sleep instead.

Also I give squid permission to command my units in the war, I've got 5 weeks of production I need to add to my stats so if you see a huge incline that's why.

Thos of you in America might be surprised to hear England has had heavy snowfall in late march! This has given me two snow days stuck in the house to Finnish my masterpiece, and just in time, as I go on holiday on Monday. Photos will come tomorrow. I am 95% happy wi it. The only real faults are that I ran out of good parts near the end and that the hull is a little too tall for its length, making it look a bit fat, that the rear engines are a little closer together than I would have liked and that I couldn't sort out a proper system for holding the missiles in the weapons bay. Other than that, it is fantastic. It weighs about ten pounds, contains an innumerable number of parts, is almost entirely stud less, has a full interior, all turrets/ engines ect move as they should and it has a full crew of seven. One captain, two pilots, one navigator, two weapons officers and a maintenance android.

About three inches. I figured in the US you would get more snow, but only around November to January.we get a few inches, it melts, then later it snows again. On and off since November.

Where do you live!? Does it not melt? When I went to Russia one February, they had shoved it all into drifts on the grass of a park to keep it off the paths and it was ten feet high where they had shovelled it. At the huge military museum, there was a twenty foot drift by the main road. And my friend pushed me into it, causing a small avalanche.

Fremont, Michigan. We are surrounded by the great lakes. It did not snow until early to mid January. I was shoveling a lot, I even shoveled in march.

No thank you. What is faster? My Mass Driver which has 29 Charge rings that will increases the speed ten fold and 116 Accelerator Drivers which will launch a 2 kiloton depleted Uranium slug or your laser. so in other words, it is a Halo Heavy MAC found on the marathon-class Cruisers

Like Mr. Squid said, lasers are lightspeed, you obviously need to do some basic research on weapons technology. XD Also, a 2 kiloton warhead is utterly pointless for a super MAC since they are already multi-megaton weapons. Because of this, they aren't allowed for rather obvious reasons.

Why are they multi megaton? Does the uranium slug compress and reach critical mass on impact? If so, does that mean Chris cannot use his mass driver unless he changes the ammunition? I still think that laser is unfair, but at least it is not small enough to put on tanks and stuff, that would be pushing it.

I know, you have taken measures to make it more legit. When did david change the rules to allow directed energy? It must have been a few weeks ago, because before it said that only projectile weapons like railguns were allowed, and only mounted, but now it says that about lasers as well. Maybe he changed it because of my lasers, you know, to make them legit.

Simple: they fire a 3,000 ton projectile at .04c, which works out to roughly 50 gigatons. (I made a mistake, the megaton level firepower is actually for normal MACs.)

You aren't disallowing all high power railguns are you? Chris hasn't actually given the specs for the mass driver, so we don't know the weight of the projectile. I always figured that the halo super MACs were just a little too big though.

Oh, I think we can still allow them (BTW MACs are coilguns), just not anything near the same level of firepower of the Halo MACs.

I have been busy with building on the weekend. So far, a railgun artillery piece, a light mech/gunship, a spherical tank drone and an airship named the Scarlet. It's much smaller than the Reaper but still big. Btw these are all real brick creations, not LDD.

I would think that Cold War stuff would be quite difficult, at least the land and air stuff, as they are generally portrayed as quite worn, especially the Russian stuff. Your current building style is very clean, so it ought to be a challenge. Good luck.

Hi everyone,

I'm commenting here to speak some of my mind about these kind of groups. I'm a little concerned with some things. As you may know, most of us began with Conflict, a game much like this one. However after a while we got bored or wathever happened and it was closed. We restarted with the WWII-ish variant Conflict II, but that one was also closed even before any significant happenings. After that we got two seperate groups, one of which I do not recal the name, and Divide and Conquer. And again the latter was closed because people lost interests.

And now we have Divide and Conquer II, and I can already see some signs of cracks in the foundation of this group. Systems like 'my plane is better because awesome high-tech weapons because I'm always better etc" are still quite common. And people join and go as they please, leaving the core members of this group in dissaray.

I don't say the group will die anytime soon, it's just that I'm concerned with the fact we've had at least 5 different war game groups within a year time.

I have some suggestions to keep the group going. Firstly, we need to throw away restraint and start some wars. The main point of this game is to fight each other, and other than threats and a declaration of a war that will probably not ever happen, there has been none. The only problem with this is that some people might take it personally if they are attacked, which they shouldn't, and the shortage of active players to act as CMs. I think that, at least until more people become active again, anyone not involved, with some military knowledge should be allowed to CM, which is pretty much everyone. Otherwise, Matthew might find himself with a lot to do.

On top of this, I think that the sudden drop in active members is to do with the activity bar glitch, so we need to make it clear inside the group what has happened, as in, a new Convo called problem with activity column or something.

We could do with some new members as well. We should all look around for suitable builders then make recommendations to an admin. To fit them in, we need to start removing territories from people who are not coming back or inactive for months on end.

Finally, on the subject of people arguing about vehicle capabilities, the rules say that if you say it works, it does, but the more realistic a creation and the more effort required to make it, the more brownie points you get from the CMs, so don't be surprised if you make a wonder weapon in five minutes and it fails to obliterate all in its path.

I also think when a war is declared the war should begin within a certain timeframe.
Its been weeks since valk declared war on us, I think there should be a system in place where both sides have only say 2 week timeframe, and after that if one side isn’t ready the war would begin regardless. I don’t feel like having two month long cease fires because someone declared war, and then had exams. Of course I feel this should go into effect after valk gets back, at least inside of our conflict. I dont want take advantage of the situation.

I don't know how many of you have seen my F22 Raptor, but it is my most popular creation. If you look, you will notice that it is good, but not wonderful. I was nine when I made it, so it was a very good effort. People have highly praised it, asking to buy it or for me to make a new one, and that is what I am planning to do. This summer, when I have the time, I am going to start designing sections of a larger scale version on LDD, then order any parts I don't have, like lots of angled plates, ect. It will be roughly 1:20 scale, about 60% larger than the original, with lots of working features and a fully detailed cockpit based on reference material. It will have retracting landing gear, opening weapons bays, and missiles. I am looking into finding a blank, unprinted version of the cockpit from the episode III Jedi star fighters, as it would be the best shaped canopy that lego makes. I may, though, try to mould my own, as the main problem with all existing lego raptors is the canopy. At the moment it is just an idea, but any support and Ideas would be great, as no one has tried one like this before.

The raptor is well built, sad that I have several creations that only have a few, the most popular creation of mine is the Dragon-class super battleship and it took some time to build and it is a solid build as well with no hollow inside but a filled inside. So if you could check out my creations that would be nice. Also is it possible to have a joint-build with you?

How so, you are in America, I am in England, and you make LDD and I make in bricks. Unless you mean the Raptor. Good Idea, maybe make some suggestions for tricky areas, like the canopy, but really, I work solo. Thanks though.

I think Zach is confused, he thinks that I made the eagle class battleship for some reason and that barrel length has nothing to do with railgun power. I am not saying that my airships are invincible, I just don't think a small fighter armed only with very heavy cannons slung under the very flimsy looking wings is a feasible way of taking them down. Brickviller's missile was a much better idea.

You guys were running on a wartime economy for quite a few weeks, correct? If so, that means cool down will be in order.

Yeah, I'm quite sure barrel length has quite a bit to do with adding to the velocity. Anyways, I'm still not sure whether Brickviller's overwhelming swarm of sub-munitions delived by ICBM or my hypersonic kiloton-level warhead is better, but in my opinion either approach has better odds than trying to use aircraft in the manor he envisions.

For the record, short barrels mean that the projectile has less distance to accelerate over, so massive amounts of energy are wasted accelerating the round faster.

Also, yes, we were in double production, but now war is imminent for me, cool down might have to wait. I won't however double production again, just keep it ticking over.

Traxxus Heavy Engineering is offering production models of it's military vehicles for sale to pre-approved customers. I will put up a catalog folder on my page and post the vehicles to the group. Any and all customers will have to be pre-approved by the company's CEO prior to any orders being placed and all orders must be requested on the creation page. The first of the creations will be posted today. Thank you for your time.

The EFCF is looking to buy a few large aircraft and some naval warship.

Well keep an eye out for new things in the catalog. If you like anything you see then we'll have a talk. New vehicles won't be added until later tonight.

There are a couple of Aircraft that has caught my eye, the KU-95i and GC-27 Striker-A long with two ship: The Railgun armed variant and the cargo variant of the Standard cruiser.

Unfortunately those vehicles aren't currently in the catalog. That's old Talian equipment.

That fine, I will check later. Have you seen the new mocs I have posted. They are:

M-17 Sheppard MBT
M-13 Panther UGV
B-01 "Orbital" High-Altitude Bomber
B-02 "Titan" Strategic Bomber
Project "Blackknife"
- YF-73 "Night-Fury" High-Speed Bomber
Note I added wings but have not posted them yet
- YF-74 "Flareguard" Air Superiority Fighter
UH-44/T Viper transport Gunship
UAG-01 Grunt
UAG-02 Troll

Also there might be some units that you have not seen yet.

I now. But have you seen them not as stuff to trade but as design craftsmanship and looks.

No, we don't have space ships of any kind, especially not star wars tech level stuff. And in my oppinionI don't think we can really add them in at somepoint either, once a group gets spaceships things start getting too complicated.

Tyro, what do you have in the form of air superiority fighters and ground attack or VTOL aircraft. I am interested to buy, but don't understand the payment system. I am working on drawn out designs for a complete Air Force, with a new type of fighter, the 7th generation, but don't have time to build them yet.

There is nothing in this group but I am in the process of setting up my own group like D&C that will be partially space based. If you are interested at all, drop a comment on any of my creations.

I'm not advertising a group. The group doesnt exist yet cuz starting a D&C group is a labor intensive process, especially when it is unlike any other wargame groupthat I have seen on MOCPages.

I am advertising for people who might be willing to help run it when it is up, hence I am recruiting from an existing wargame group.

Look at it as more of a lend lease system. If your faction is approved, Traxxus is prepared to offer up vehicles. There isn't a capital system in this game, so i essentially offer exclusive contracts for you to recieve shipments of my war tech on a weekly basis as if you made them. As for ground attack aircraft and VTOL's, i think you may find just what you're looking for in the Traxxus Heavy Industries folder on my page. We can talk over a business agreement in the trade thread if you are interested. We should also have some jets up for sale soon as well.

If I understand you right, it's essentially offering select members the right to produce other creations than the ones they built themselves, (but they still cost build points) correct? If so, I approve as it helps level the playing field for those who are just getting started and don't have a wide vareity of things to produce.

A massive headache it is seemign to be in regards to setting it up. When you think space, your probably thinking 1 solar system.

My prospective D&CIII has a whole galaxy for a map, with solar systems and planets in each sector. 0.0 D:>

That simply means it's even more complicated than the old D&C. We only had to worry about land, naval, airiel, orbital, surface-to-orbit, and orbit-to-surface warfare. (yeah, it was complicated XD)

Now when you have a galaxy, we are talking far greater numbers of stuff being used, and you have to factor in intersteller warfare as well as everything else previously mentioned. :P

Yeah, its a massive headache. The whole orbit-to-surface and surface-to-orbit will be under space force and defenses. these are the categories I ahve now:
infantry, land vehicles, air force (planetary though space capable for cruiser boarding), space force (includes planetary landing ships), defenses.

Not too complicated (though could get messy fast). . . .

Tyro is still trying to insist that converting a Prometheus satelite to a single-slug single-use missle is illegal.
This is what I have: Missile goes up via 4 engines on sides. The Prometheus satleite launch rail is in teh rocket's core with 1 slug. Rocket reaches orbit, aims, fires and drifts off into space, expended. You said this was legal right?

EDIT: Though the satelite network has been disallowed, I am keeping the 3 complete ones as they are: disassembled and unloaded, awaiting assembly in orbit. They pose no threat sitting in pieces in a warehouse where they will remain for the foreseeable future. The new Piledriver missile is still part of Project Prometheus and is using the same slugs.

That may be true, but the explosion still has to be less than two kilotons. Also, that's a horribly inefficient delivery system, and shouldn't be classified as a satellite.

Thats just it. Its a solid hunk of metal; it doesnt go boom. All the destructive force is done by impact, not blast. No explosion to put a limit on.
Think of it as a giant bullet.

Quoting Zach Sykes; Master of all Things Mars Rocket reaches orbit, aims, fires and drifts off into space, expended. You said this was legal right?

To have the final word in this. It can be legal this way. BUT Im not really sure you understand the concept.

Its works a lot more complicated than what you may have seen in movies, and games. A tungsten rod cant simply be fired at a planet and hit its target. It needs fins, and a guidence system, or else it wont hit anything. When you fire at something at space, a stationary target is moving at 600, to 1000Mph pockets of air could knock the target slightly off cource, and a 100 meter error could mean not killing the enemy and killing something you didnt want killed.
Aside from that go ahead and bankrupt your nation, putting missiles into space isnt cheap,
were talking billions here.

But I dont see any super advantage over ICBMs anyway, kinetic weapons are meant to be super persice, they are base busters, so the damage is spread out over a very small area. If you dont hit a target dead center its not dead.
More for morale boosters, aside from that Im locking this convo.
