First vote ever for our group. Exciting huh?
anyway, here's the topic, directly copied and pasted from my earlier post;

"If everybody wanted, I could make the game bigger than what it is now. After the map is filled up, the factions become nations and battle for the planet. After the planet was been completely captured and sufficient wars have been fought, we will spread to the stars, to become galactic empires. I could make a space map, making spacebound tech okay, and ground tech still relevent, because that's how you would capture the planets. This one would be a neutral planet, kind of like a space UN. does that sound like a good idea to everybody?

production times and unit scale would be adjusted accordingly to each scale shift."
---
One other thing, do you want to create a new group with each shift or keep the same one?

Now vote, cast your voice, make a change! aaahhhhh

my enthusiasm ran out at the end...

I say yes to this, it will give more of a challage but the one draw back is how many planets are there going to be, also increaseing the unit production to a much lager scale can be effective but need time like say "140 light tanks for every 3 weeks", this is a thought.

That would be a pathetic boost relative to the current light tank production. Anyway, I'm not sure how we could simulate large-scale games that exspand over multiple solar systems, wars would be MUCH harder to pull of due to the added complexity.

I don't think I would have complex maps of each planet like I do for this one right now, I might have the planet split into 4 sections, and wars are fought over those 4 sections to keep it simple. a section would be like a territory on this map

Well, yeah, we can't have complex maps, but in the proposed group, how will we manage space? Ships could be in orbit, in various solar systems, and even in between solar systems. How would this all be managed?

I was thinking about doing it one of two ways, the first one being that they would be somewhat invisible like the troops right now, and they would only come into play during a battle. The second one W e make a movement thread that we call out the movements of our fleet in space.

I'm going to have to look around the pages to see if there are any other groups similar to the space thing I'm propsoing and see how they do it, and if it works or not

Also, I vote yes, if i can figure out the logistics ans it will greatly improve the lifespan of the group.
