So, what theme? I'd prefer something out of our comfort zones, like Pirates...

No, I'd like to have fun and that's building in our comfort zones :p

The problem is the only thing that's in both of our comfort zones is castle and I don't really want to do castle (I've gotten tired of it).

Perhaps set revamp?

Well, we could do a "create-a-set" MOC-off and all themes are allowed. One of the important things we need to discuss is the maximum amount of pieces. 50? 100?

If we do that, I'd prefer no piece limit. Even keeping piece efficiency, it's hard to do much with 100 pieces in set style...

Actually, I think I'd prefer a set revamp or something like that. Design a Lego set means too many specialized pieces/basic techniques if you want it to look like an actual set..
How about Set Revamp, but we both have to revamp the same set?

Revamp of 7036 Dwarves Mine? I was looking through your sets list and that seems to be the largest/most interesting set that we have in common.

That's an interesting idea though. Let's do THIS.

It doesn't need to be a big set, but I think it's best to take a set we have in common.

Here's my collection: http://www.brickset.com/search/?OwnedBy=Halhi141

I would prefer to do a somewhat large set though, since that allows for more parts to change.

Yeah, I knew you found my sets on Brickset so I went there and I think this is the best set for a revamp.

Okay! So deadline: July 21? That would give us two weeks to build.

Rules: Revamp of Set 7036 Dwarves Mine
No size/piece restrictions.

Anything else?

Done. I'm rebuilding the original set right now so I can compare my revamp to it while I build.

Wait. Are illegal techniques allowed and is it allowed to add something which isn't included in the original set? I won't use any 3rd party items.

Illegal techniques are allowed, but everything else should be purist. As for adding something that isn't in the original set, it depends. If it's something like expanding the rocks a bit or adding more tools to the blacksmith area, then yes, but I'd say no to adding entire new rooms or things like that.

I've already started...I should start conserving pieces, the track is taking up a lot of dark grey/brown plates...

Am I allowed to edit my entry, just to add a link to a video?
