Yeah, I'm trying to get rid of the bags too. I need to get some bins! I like to be organized....VERY organized! Believe it or not, I keep my 1x1 studs in a separate compartment in my special bin! :P
I don't think I'd be able to stand bags...

I actually attach all of my 1x1 studs (besides trans dark blue and trans red) by color XD

I would love to have a place for every specific piece but unfortunately I don't have enough space for that many drawers.
I have space for it, but I don't feel like spending the $$ until I actually get a part time or full time job.

Anyone else making a picture of all their MOCs for the year?

Nah... maybe I'll do it for this year though.

Plus, a lot of my earlier MOCs did not have the nice lighting that I use now.

Nice! Which kind? The iPad 2, Air, or Mini? My parents will never get us anything like that unless it's a really special occasion. My brother is 19, and he just got a smartphone, though he bought it himself since he has money from graduating marine bootcamp (I have a marine brother!). He also got an iPad mini from my parents, but that's the only time something that expensive has been given to one of us, Pssh, I had to buy my own.

Busy mostly. School comes first, then TT stuff, then building for MELO (though lately it has been deconstructing for future MELO building). Usually the day is over when I go through that.

It's not too bad though. I work on one topic at a time. Plus, they are topics that I am interested in learning about (sometimes I enjoy it). I'm doing accounting now, but it's not that exciting for me.

some lessons are great (i particularly enjoy PE, art and maths) but others, mostly down to the teachers, are boring. homework can be great (posters, projects etc) but we mostly have to do research and worksheets.

Yeah. A good thing about the end of college is that you get to learn stuff that you will actually use later in life may it be a job, hobby, or other activity. Honestly, I don't think I'll be using much of my knowledge on photosynthesis or chemical formula balancing when I endeavor into Computer Software Development and Business Management.

Though it probably helps those who are trying to figure out what they want to do in life by going by working through many courses even though a good portion will probably be forgotten.

To me I don't see the incentive to learn stuff like biology and chemistry. I get math, spelling, writing, grammar and US history (for those who live here) but when it gets to algebra, science, trig and calc I just don't see the point...it's not like the majority if people are going to be using that in life.

AHHHHH!!!! DAVID'S USING BIG WORDS!!!!!

Haha, yeah...apparently people with an above-average vocabulary are perceived to be more educated, even if the opposite for a said person is true. That said, I do try to expand my vocabulary every now and then by looking up words that I come across. Some studies suggest that a larger vocabulary actually allows you to think at a higher level for certain things. The example given was that Eskimos can think in higher terms when it comes to snow. They have many more words to describe it and can thus think about snow at a much higher level than your average American. (if that makes sense, it's interesting and somewhat weird if you ask me)

It also makes you look more professional; the same goes with writing well. That's what I've heard at least. Of course, it will help you get a better score on the SAT exams. So every now and then I'll try to use a more intriguing set of words as long as it fits well and is not too confusing. Yes, there is such a thing as going overboard with the use of onerous words that are dispensable.

If you catch my drift ;)

I like using the Thesaurus at dictionary.com - many times I discover new words that I can then go look up in a dictionary. From there I see where I can use it in a sentence or something.

Yeah, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense now, but they say it makes you a more rounded person since you know a little about a lot of things. Once you have the little about a lot knowledge, you go towards your specific goals, ambitions, and dreams. Usually that means going to college and earning a degree to learn what you may have wanted to learn since you were 15.

Unfortunately, many people would probably opt out of studying altogether and then regret it when their life is in a total mess five years down the line. As they say, a few ruin it for the rest.

Yeah probably but there are people like that today called 'Unschoolers'. Like homeschool but you aren't required to do any work, just learn what you want when you want. I actually know some people who do that and it seems to work well for them.

There are regulations for homeschoolers though to make sure that the students are not slacking off. At least, I know that there are regulations in my state.

Thanks! I think I figured it out. I made a bookmark when I first joined Flickr, and that bookmark wouldn't link to anything else. I re-set the bookmark since my page has a different address now (it has fnj in it, before it didn't) and now it works.

I usually don't take days off. Because sometimes if I get sick and such I need extra days. It's sorta strange though, last year did 190 days of school. This year it might be a bit more because I'm starting 7th, grade math is march...

You could join a new really cool scifi RPG, that would give you something to do.

I thought about that, but I've done contests and such before, and I'm bad at building on a schedule.

Yeah. We take off birthdays and we can also "get ahead" by doing school on snow days (granted that the snow is only sufficient to close schools and not sufficient for doing stuff in the snow.

If you have the a few thousand dollars available, I would highly recommend College Plus as they can help you find the right college, what requirements are needed, and can even help you go through prerequisite courses by taking college-level tests and making sure those credits will be transferable to the college that you would like to enroll. Just go to http://www.collegeplus.org/

It has helped our family quite a lot. It's allowing me to finish college faster and earlier at a much lower price than I would have if I had gone to a more traditional college at a University. I hope that this helps :)

I've had quite a few pieces go missing underneath my bunk bed. Fortunately I can still fit underneath.

And no, I haven't been bitten by the monster under my bed as I searched for them.

WELCOME BACK FRIENDS.

There have been some changes in the city.

January 17 is the official Remembrance Day. It is the last day of the Civil War in the entire country. The Prime Minister was killed on that day, and his gravestone is a tourist attraction.

February 27 is my birthday and National Day.

September 18 is my sister's birthday (a co-builder in the city) and the president's as well.

The currency used is the credit. (equivalent to 1.03 US dollars)

The tallest building is a 6-story apartment building in the fairly new downtown area.

The widest building is (by far) Brick Town School, defeating a mansion my sister once built by a few studs.

The newest building is an L-shaped museum, probably because a famous museum is called the Louvre.

The oldest building still built is the Grand Emporium.

And the smallest building is a Lego store, only 8x16 studs like the Mini Shop series by Pekko on CUUSOO.

I didn't really care who won...but the Seagulls really crushed the Broncos. I think that initial safety put the Broncos down emotionally from the start which may have hurt them the rest of the game.

First of all, questions like this belong in ask the Admins topic. 2nd, the problem with creating new groups on MOCpages is that there are only a small number of users who are active on a day to day basis. It's hard enough finding people to grow huge fans of Lego, most really active groups are just many of the same people.

I'd love to play a video game, but my Wii failed a while ago.
I'm wondering if I should invest in an X-Box 360 or a WiiU...
I would invest in a Wii U. And if you're looking for creative inspiration, I'd choose Lego City Undercover as the game to get. Not only is it really fun and imaginative, The models (cars, planes, etc.) are designed very well and could provide your needed inspiration!

Thanks Friend. I would probably get LOTR though, as I don't really build in the city theme.

If you like shooters, get the 360, if you like party game like Mario or something, get the Wii. The Wii u is under powered compared to a much older 360.

Hey guys, do you think it would be a good idea to put the list of links to other conversation groups (like you have), obviously including this one, on 'The Awesome Powers etc'? I think I should, But I thought I'd get your opinions.

I was just looking at the group's HP, and noticed that we have a staff group. Could one of the admins invite me?

I don't believe that group is active as I was never invited.

I wouldn't, if it means that I can get less magic speedo junk. :P

My advice: Watch a new movie, or play a new video game. Those tend to get my creative juices running again.

You do realize that you're the one that brings up the speedos obsessively, right?
