Here is where we can talk about our own set ideas that we think TLG (The LEGO Group) could, should, or might make in the future!

After the Lone Ranger sets, I'd like to see the (non-liscensed) western theme return.

I'd also like some sets with a bit of landscaping, probably in the castle theme. A small forest, perhaps with one or two trees and some plants on the ground, and maybe a carriage or something to go with it could make a nice small set...

Yes that would be nice, bringing back some regular sets, such as a Western Town with some new pieces and molds maybe. I am excited about these new Castle sets. Black horses with moveable legs and new swords, but also a new dragon too.

Yeah....TLG hasn't done a bunch of nice landscaping in their sets yet....I don't know if the Ewok village would count...but anyways.

Yeah! I like the western themes too!

Could you guys post more suggestions in this topic? This could be handy for my MOC-off against A Sargent :P

some normalish adventure theme like Indiana Jones, since they have good pieces

An idea I was toying with: A classic space starter set with instructions for several different builds that can be built with the same 100 or so parts. see the m:tron 64 to see the concept in action.

...love to see LEGO make a follow up UCS set of the 787. A LEGO 747-8 would be nice; you can make one using two 787 kits, so I mean, its LEGO's call, really.

Yeah! I never got any of the old Adventurers sets but they always looked interesting.

Legend of Zelda!! That would be such a successful theme; and very few new molds would be needed. Just a hat/hair combo for Link.

There are just so many fans that would buy them. Anyway just my idea.

They were great. They had a lot of nice, functioning traps, but weren't expensive

If they do bring back Racers, i hope with there bigger models they're try harder to stay away from stickers, I'm fine with the company's logo, but doing it for the headlights, taillights, intakes and all that is a little much IMO ;)

I hope they bring back Model Team at some point, They were the most realistic models of things that actually exist they ever made. and I bet with the new parts they could do even better :-)

Love to see the old Samurai theme make a comeback. Also a western (Hmm I can also start a Space Western series similar to Firefly)

I would also love to see another Stormtrooper pack next year.

*Yawn*

I want to do a post apoc series as well.

Indiana Jones was still better though :)
More interesting (and more quantity) traps, better looks, more interesting builds...

Do you have both? I have several sets of each (mainly larger sets) and Indiana Jones has better detail, traps, and a more interesting build.

Hi Hahli, do you think you could please judge the A M vs Finn Tegotash matchup for Freeling? He's not being active. Thanks!

Ah, now I see why you arrived at your conclusion. Yes, the big sets of the Indiana Jones theme were good, but still more expensive (and actually less trap filled) than the big Adventurers sets. Plus, ALL Adventurers sets had traps in them, even the little ones

Actually when I said big, I meant big Adventurers sets. I have all of the big Indy sets, but also some smaller ones.

More expensive? More pieces as well. But they had better value for money.
And all of the Indy sets do too, except the motorcycle chase set. (even jungle duel has a trap)

Look, I'm not going to get into a big debate about it. Adventurers (as a Lego theme) is older than Indy, and I grew up on Adventurers and Toa Mata/Nuva, thus they are naturally themes I gravitate toward. Indy, SW Clone Wars, and Hero Factory tend to be themes I don't rate highly. Sorry.

What do you think of a cold war era spy series? It would be a a bit like james bond, a bit like mission impossible, a bit like get smart. I wouldn't require any new molds and probably wouldn't need any new colors of existing parts. sets would be packed with secret compartments and spy gadgets.

I tried to launch a cuusoo series of space spies, sorta like an updated version of blacktron or spyrius, but it didn't do too well.

Because the theme you speak of is creator, which is about basic types of models (mechs, cars, planes, houses, and bikes)

Needs more functions. It's pretty good as a MOC, but the most interesting part probably (the texture on the yellow brick road) uses too many pieces to become a set.
If this set somehow passes the review, it will have to be changed a lot. :/

I like the narnia idea. I read all the books when I was a kid. If i was near my bricks i would begin work, but I won't have a good chance to build until mid-november, and the first project that i will do is an ABS version of the SkyVette. After that, I may begin a series of narnia builds. If I get ideas for what people want in a narnia set, i'll try to build it. Full disclosure: I don't work for LEGO, i just show them things on cuusoo.

I think a great set would be an aircraft, commercial airliner, you know, not those moulded parts, but with bricks and plates, normal bricks and plates, and time to update those engines LEGO!!

I think a historical achievement theme would be cool. Stuff like the moon landing, first flight, first steam locomotive, discovery of America, etc... Also have historical figure, inventors, historical leaders (presidents, kings, pharos, etc...), and explorers. It's also a way to get some cool vehicles.
