My computer is not standard. It is built for gaming which means it can run at extremely high temps. A normal computer shuts down at 175 for safety while I can run at 191.

Well, in a few days I go to music camp with my family.

My sister just went to one from Sunday to yesterday. And it was in my school. The teachers were expecting the events to be in our new multi purpose hall, but it wasn't ready for students to use. I would've not liked it if the hall was actually ready, because next school year, the sixth grade home rooms and some of their other classes would be there. Next year I am going to be in 6th grade, so I wanted to be one of the first people to use it.

Dude, it's not all about building (If that's all it was, I wouldn't have minecraft) It's a world in which you explore and discover! (And most of the time just get blow up by a creeper or killed by some other beast. And if that happens, you just re-spawn somewhere...) It also has a cool story mode (Which I haven't even started on yet.)

Eh, I dunno...he's active around the house with school and stuff, but he does play online games like Car Town and Hobbit Battles (or something like that). I don't do those games, instead I'm here on MOCpages. I guess that's the main reason.

I think you should do the Samuron MOC again. It was really cool. And instead of doing more 're-makes' you should do some more new ones! I would really like to see you do a mini version of the G1 Constructicons (or however you spell that). The green and purple ones. You would do really well with that.

Yeah...I usually have them shipped to a 'contact' in the States and have them bring it when they visit or send someone else. Shipping to Honduras is very expensive and the postal services are not altogether reliable.

In lego transformers conquest, devastator is black. And that MOC is set is kinda old. Also, it would be more expensive than samuron. All the parts of devastator are seperate robots that have a vehicle mode, a robot mode and a combiner mode. It would be kinda expensive...

In lego transformers conquest, devastator is black. And that MOC is set is kinda old. Also, it would be more expensive than samuron. All the parts of devastator are seperate robots that have a vehicle mode, a robot mode and a combiner mode. It would be kinda expensive...

Yeah I guess you're right. But it would still be awesome!

Thats why it's good to first get most of the details set then do a beta period to iron stuff out. You clearly know a thing or two. Give mine a lookover and see if there's anything you'd like to improve on.

I'm almost sure you could make the pictures bigger on MOCpages....time to test! :D

Old uploads sometimes had pictures which covered the entire screen, but I'm not sure about the size of pictures from nowadays either.

Of course, the iPod camera wasn't that good, but with a good camera....piece o' cake! Besides, you'd have to have a huge computer screen to capture such an image.

Beaten :'( lol! It's not just about the pictures, but also about the community; Flickr's LEGO community is much bigger, much more active, but as nice as MOCpages' ;) No need to have a huge computer screen, just zoom out if you wanna see the entire pic :p

Well, hmm. I would recommend a French Hamlet, so, I would stock up on some brown and tan. Also, I would look at how Lego's Medival village was constructed; it had some sound ideas. Now, for the tank, uhm. I'm not sure. Panzer, Sherman? Depends on when, I suppose. How much are you planning on spending?

I would look at people in active war games, such as D&C (is it two, five, thirty three?), Decisive Action (it has brought about some excellent builders), just to name a few. I am sure that you will find some great, willing builders. If you would like, I can help you set up the rules.

It's 2, I'm in it, and they are leaning toward Cold War era for D&CIII. Of the handful of us still active in there, many will not be joining me in Warzone.

If I had a way to pick out the skilled builders from those who do not take it seriously (build seagull bombers) in DA, then I'd advertise there.

Well, I mean, they did have a space category. It would be safe to assume that they would at least look at Warzone 2147.

I rated it first. A lot of times if I rate something in a comment, it doesn't put a smiley face on the creation; but if I rate the creation it does. And many times, if I rate them first and then in the comment, it puts two smiley faces. That's why my comment doesn't say 'I Like It'

I went to this competition twice; first time around, I tied for third place. The second time, I lost. And both times, I was ripped off.

We found out that we would have to video chat with the judges; and the judges would be sitting next to a few of the competitors; how unfair is that? Connection wasn't good too, to add insult. But still, we were a favorite to win; we had officials at AASHTOO (like the head of all departments of transportation) backing us up, everyone at our school, even the other team from our school. We went up, and presented. No mistakes, it was just as planned. We met with the Secretary of Transportation, showed him the model, asked him questions, etc. It was great. We ended up tying with the other team from our hometown for third. Do you want to know what got first place?

Yeah. So, the people at AASHTOO weren't happy with the circumstances, and, as a result, called us back the next year, on the promise that the Californians conducting the competition would be more, fair. We would have a judge on site from our broadcasting location, etc. This time, connection was better. In fact, we had an incident, where the former Secretary of Transportation, Mr Norman Mineta, actually stopped the current Secretary, Mr. Ray Lahood, to come back and see our model before he was taken away by the Secret Service. This time, presentation was even better. We had taken it all, people were literally there in aw (no joke). So, a few weeks pass, and we didn't win. Turns out that the judge stationed in DC, the one that would, make it fair, had left before he could even see our presentation.

This was weird. I actually contacted the head of the organization that held this competition, asking for our score card back; we never did get that, by the way. Instead, we were given three reasons why we were inferior to the others (the second time, we played with the ISSC, I think I forgot to mention that bit).
1. Our project had to deal with surface transportation; as that was how the previous years had been conducted.
2. Our number were, and I am quoting now directly from the email "...though entertaining, seemed more from the starship Enterprise than from science.."
3. I did most of the talking for the group.
Okay. I agree with number 3; it seemed that I took most of the work was done by me (it appeared so).
Number 2. This one really got me mad. Really? We actually used technology, albeit much larger than usual, on our design. And whats this deal about "entertaining"? We were there to compete, not to entertain.
Number 1 is the easiest of the three lies to crack down. I had my teacher look through EVERY SINGLE of the documents we received for the competition, and guess what? NONE SAID ANYTHING ABOUT SURFACE TRANSPORTATION. YES, those people actually lied to us that badly. And also, if this was the way for the past few years, how did my team get third place last year?

AASHTOO, that, like, paid for all our meals, our stay at a five star hotel, and our flight, have stated that they will most likely not send anymore people up to this competition.

Yeah. And that is how me and my team prepared for months on end for a competition we stood no chance of winning.

Happy 4th of July!!!

I was just going through some stuff in my room and found some leftover bottle rockets from new year's eve. We know these are safe because we have to drive across the state line to buy them from a man who's missing half of his arm. I kid you not. He greets people at the door and says "Hi, welcome to fire works city!"

Yeah, though the whole thing is kinda two rings... I'm kinda basing it off Nasa's plans for a space station with artificial gravity.(They had to bail though because the parts couldn't be transported to space) Ok, thanks! That would be really helpful!

Uhm. It depends. See, they ship usually from Poland (not from Denmark, what?) so it has go through the Polish mail system, and the pn then US mail system. It all depends on weight, I think, and the size of the package. It's painfully, slow, mind you. May I ask what you are buying, and how much it's running you (if that is not rude to ask)?

To add on what I said, I believe, glancing back through time, it would add about at least ten USD to each order for shipping, or somewhere around that. If its tiles you need, I lean towards PAB, unless they are really specialized. If you need me to help you, in say looking for a part, I am here to help you out!

Alright, Michael, I took a look at it, and it looks like a good start. Let's see. I would recommend using bricks for the hull, as plates, I would imagine, are a bit flimsy. Now, I bought from a store called Alaska Brick Movers, or something like that (see if that store name exists, if not, I will look it up), they have a minimum buy of $50, which is a bit expensive, but they had and excellent selection of really cheap parts. If want to see what I am on about, I posted the haul in my second WIP. Please do check it out.

Let me check out your U boat and see what an outside observer might be looking for.

I know the bottom of the hull is the wrong shape, I plan to fix that in the future, also it's too short, I didn't notice that until recently. The boat is still together since it looks great in my room.
In the distant future, I plan to MOC the capture of the U505.

I can't reply to that comment, as I am on an IPad, which also explains all the typos. The town. I suggest this. Get yourself some nice brown and tan. Your going to need a lot for a French town. Also stock up on little, tidbit, tiles and small plates; really useful for filling gaps and making walkways.

For your U-Boat, the structure actually looks sound, but I was saying also that the gaps might be problematic. Using bow and slope parts would really help the shape out, I think.

What stopped you the distance? If so, let me say, they almost, by default, ship via priority, so parts come in about a week after they ship it, which isn't too shabby.

Positive ID on the store. They aren't too shabby. I might buy from there, though I haven't really dived into their parts list. Are you building mini-figure scale? If so, I'd hope you have a substantial collection already. Can you estimate on how many parts you have?

Yes

Comparatively small, I've built dios on this scale before, just adding parts for more detail and better color.

I've always wondered that myself. I'd guess 5-7000

Hmm. Any particular color of Brick that is a majority (this is like taking a census), like, for me, I have over 10,000 parts, according to my estimations, with a the overwhelming majority in light bluish grey).

Not too bad for $16.17. Do you just make a bunch of small orders, or do you usually make a couple of large orders, and maybe one small one? I do the later; and while it means much greater distance between getting parts, I can use that small order, and always make my really large order, in excess of $100 on my birthday.

Most of my orders are near this size, or a bit bigger. My largest was 400 parts. Oddly enough, I haven't ordered anything in more than half a year. School killed my interest for building, but in the summer, there's nothing else to do. My birthdays coming in less than a month, so I'll make a large order there. Any ideas of general parts to stock up on? I can never have enough dark bley 1 x 4 bricks, so I'll get some of those.

Hmm. Well. For me, its tiles. Always, tiles, and then some. For the past three-four years, I have consistently ordered 200 2x2 light grey tiles in my large orders, and I use 'em quite well, and quite often. I would focus on, how should I put this, uhm, novelties. Like, random, odd parts, which can be used for literally anything. Also, look for elements that allow you to, add movement. There is this brick: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=2653
that, in conjunction with the door rails you bought, will allow you to add a sliding movement.
Anyways, I will, most likely, be online, so, I shall await your return, if you choose to do so.

I have a collection of about 35000 pieces... I think the majority is black, but I also have a lot of light/dark grey...

Wow. That is. Massive, to say the least. I usually gain roughly a thousand bricks each year, so.

Hows about tiles? Roughly 650-700 light bluish grey tiles (only about 500 available, though), and over 300 of this dark tan color: http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?colorID=69&itemID=17085
(That particular LEGO store had a very good Pick a Brick wall. They also had a light-bluish grey click-hitches, and I stocked up quite well on those). Of course, I have an assortment of other shaped tiles, mostly in light bluish grey.

Ugh. I can't WAIT to do the same! I need to collect a new arsenal of brickarms and some new equipment for my minifigures (need new ones to) and I need to find a new camera so I can upload better mocs. AND I want to post a fan fiction series based on this underrated classic.

Eh, not really. Good for naval ships and large scale MOCs.

The grey yes. Oh, you mean the tan. Uhm, well, I guess if you layer it, maybe. Though I would stick with a bunch of plates and sloped bricks.
