Want to discuss some of what's happening in your life (something that's interesting of course, this is not a place to post what you are eating for breakfast or what book you are reading (unless it is just so fabulous that everyone should have that omlet) Want to talk about life in general? (Not a debate thread) Want to share some of your personality/character traits?

Same.

My career as a student is becoming hard to merge with my career as a YFOL. (That's not really a career, but still.)

Well at least you have time to build on weekends. I can't build anything until summer holiday (which starts in 2 weeks) My last creation was posted on November 27th 2012. :D

I'm a highschooler, and I'm also a musician. I play jazz with two instruments; piano and sax. And if you get this joke, then you're a musician too: 'you're an oboe'.

Yeah, I know what you mean....I need blocks of time (an hour for each block, or should I say brick? XD) or else it's just not worth it...

When I can build, I do it at night time or on the weekends.

Well, let's me introduce myself :)
I'm Timo, 15 years old and live in The Netherlands (if you haven't already guessed ;P)
I do Judo and gymnastics for 8 years.
I can't remember my first LEGO set, but I've been building with LEGOs since I was 3.
I listen to trance/dance music, like Hardwell, Armin van Buuren and the Swedish House Mafia.
I play piano myself, but I'll stop the at summer.

That's all about me I can think of for now, if you have any questions please ask!

Ha ha. For those that want to get into busy schedules, let me put it this way: next year, in 9th grade, I will be taking Pre AP Algebra II, and Pre Cal and Trig. All other classes Pre AP. Also, in competitions, I have national Bridge Building, and possibly a few more. Yeah.

It's my Birthday! In real life I am Turning 13.
I'm Probably getting a Bass guitar for my Birthday, as I promised my mom that it would not be another one of those things that I gave up on.
Going into.....7th grade next year.
I have been inactive and probably will be for the whole summer.
You'd think that I would be MORE active because no school, right?
WRONG.
I will be busy making Stop-Animation films and shorts pretty much the whole summer.
As I turn 13, I begin to realize that my interest in LEGO is fading.
The Dark Ages are here.
NOOOOO!

I'm a dad fan of LEGO. I have a mustache. When I'm not sticking plastic bricks together with my kids I'm riding my motorcycle, shooting guns, gardening, and working for the air national guard in GA. At present I'm in biloxi, MS.

I don't always play pokemon, but when I do, I have every legendary ever...
| May 27, 2013, 7:04 pm
Well here is a little bit about me!
I love LEGO (Derpity doo dah duh!)
I like to sit around and do absolutely nothing but play video games at times.
My favorite Video game franchise is Legend of Zelda.
I'm fifteen (sixteen in July) and my name is (surprise!) Evan, which is a Welsh form of John.
I mostly keep to myself and (unlike most teens I know) don't do a butload of talking.
I like pizza, chinese food, Poptarts, and ice cream.
I want to grow a big beard (think Duck Dynaasty, maybe a bit shorter) as soon as possible.
Platypuses.....my favorite animal. EVER.
I like anything Tolkien.
i guess that's enough for now. Maybe I'll think of some more later.

Oh and also, I live in Honduras as a missionary.

I am sorry, but you are wrong. There is no such thing as a game that is better than another game. There are different games that appeal to different people. Pokemon appeals to a different audience than Zelda. You like Zelda, I like pokemon. Please do not try to put others down with your 'my game's better' nonsense...

Oh, and no thanks. I don't play Zelda THAT often...

I think its because the target market is children. If they want to mainstream it for adults they need to make the model team sets look like actual vehicles and sell them as models rather than as toys

adults between 25-35 in the US are into the stuff that they were into as kids. Cartoons, toys, video games. It is mostly an escape to a time when it looked like the adults knew what they were doing. now we have figured out that the adults have screwed everything up and expect us to fix it for them.

A lot of that is unfortunately true :(

Also, look at the national debt! Who's gonna be paying for that? We are! The government is essentially borrowing money from us before we even start working! It's ridiculous.

Welfare, Social Security, and Health Care NEED to be reformed.....those things take up the largest majority of the spending and it's not even discussed when talking the U.S. budget. In fact, each of those three things have an automatic, non-debatable, increase in the amount of money that goes towards them. It's not going to be pretty is what I have to say.....

Yup....the nuclear family in America has had a huge breakdown, with little encouragement for families to spend more time together to get back to a healthy state.

The role of the father has certainly changed since I was a kid. In those times the dad would come home and watch TV. Its less acceptable now among nuclear families. The dad is either absent, or really involved with all the various activities the kids do.

Personally, I'm not happy. Labor needs to loose the next election if we want to get the country back on track. Labor has done some good things, but they've been in for too long. We need some massive spending cuts, a bit of hard line right-wing policy, and then Labor can come back and make it all appeal to people.

I personally prefer the greens, but labour is good enough. Kevin is a better prime minister than abbot, in my opinion. Kevin has polocies to put in motion, and does well under pressure. All abbot has is "WE WILL STOP THE BOATS", which I'm actually against. Refugees and migrants are what make up the majority of Australia, considering how the only true original people were the aboriginies...
