Well, where I live we don't get snow, we end up with the tar on the road melting. Seriously, if snow tried to fall here, it'd come down as steam. (Or rather, it would go up. Because steam goes up). No, we have empty blue skies and heat. It's our primary export, heat, after Uranium.

:P Not quite. Spring is the worst, when everything melts. We call it "breakup." It's not cold enough to snow. It's pretty dangerous when it does drop below freezing and what has melted so far freezes. Then we have patches of ice on the roads.

And those are the conditions in which I learned to drive. :P

Well, I live in Eagle River, which is right outside of Anchorage and included in its census bureau. We have about 290,000 people... including Anchorage, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, and Eagle River (around 23k people here). We are the largest census bureau by 260,000 people. Compared with Juneau or Fairbanks, which have around 30,000 people... we're pretty dense population wise. :P

-30 F is -30 C

+100 F is + 30 C.

Crazy is our weather. It's either melt the tarmac off the roads hot (and that's not exaggeration) or it's freeze mercury cold. Or the air's so humid you have to swim through it. Oh, and of course we can have all four natural disasters in one week.

-30 F is -30 C

+100 F is + 30 C.
