Here are the rules and criteria for this contest, I hope you agree:
Criteria/requirements:

1.Size (landspeeder): Your landspeeder may be as big as you want to make.

2.Size (pictures): Keep your pictures big enough so I can see what youíve made without enlarging your pictures.

3.Title: Use an original title. Donít use a title like: ĎMy speeder bike entry (2012)í.

4.Link: add a link to the homepage of this contest, please.

Note: the rules are changed at November 17, 2012, 10:31 am (MOCpages time)

Things what I look at when I judge your creation, the maximum amount of points is 100, youíll get points (noticed between the brackets) for:

1.Photo quality (10): The better the quality of the pictures, the higher the points youíll get.

2.Background (20): Letís say: be creative with the background! (Note: only for the main picture, so the background of rest of the pictures need to be like you normally
photograph your MOCs. The background also needs to be suitable in the SW universe, if you want to have more points for it!)

3.Functions/abilities (20): Donít make just a vehicle without any functions because youíll get 0/20 points with this part. Like: make a weapon rack which you can fold up.

4.Use of colors (5): Donít use too many colors. Keep your vehicles Ďrealisticí if itís about colors. Itís better to use the main color(s) of the affiliations. Donít use them too much because itís better to keep it mostly light or dark grey!

5.Details and techniques (15): Make some cool and usable details for its crew.

6.Type (10): The harder to make a type of landspeeder, the higher the points for this part.

7.My opinion (10): Iím no severe judge but my own opinion is also important...

8.Originality (10): If youíd just modify a LEGO set, youíll probably get 2 or 3 points for this part.

Some things which ARE allowed (if you still notice something which isnít summarised, you can ask me if it will be approved): a closed cockpit, a closed cabin, a canon, etc.

Things which are NOT allowed (ask me if youíre not sure if you may build something):
landing gear, walker legs, a micro-scaled landspeeder, etc.

These are the things which I look at when I judge your entry. You can start building your amazing entry! Success!

You shouldn't add your own creations to the contest group...that's just self-advertising using a contest.

OK but I only wanted to show you that you can add your entry...

Even the LEGO Luke's Landspeeder is about 22x12. I still think you should change the size limit if you want good entries, because you can only put so many functions and details on a small speeder. There are no entries so it wouldn't hurt anything if you do it now.

OK! OK! Make it as big as you want! I'll change the rules now! Here they are again just for being clear:

1.Size (landspeeder): Your landspeeder may be as big as you want to make.

2.Size (pictures): Keep your pictures big enough so I can see what youíve made without enlarging your pictures.

3.Title: Use an original title. Donít use a title like: ĎMy speeder bike entry (2012)í.

4.Link: add a link to the homepage of this contest, please.

I also added a fourth rule, by the way.

SuperSpy X and Patrick Devine. I've just deleted your and my comments which are about the maximum size of your entries because they are useless right now.

Besides, this is your first (?) contest, so you won't know everything. You'll soon get to know the stuff that makes a successful contest.

Yes, it is my first contest. I don't take it insulting but why do you 'say' that?

I'm just trying to say that you'll get better as you learn more things.

I suggest you remove the "I'm really looking for cool hovertanks..." section. It's telling people what to build, and unless it's the category it's unfair to give the most points to that regardless of the build.

OK! I've changed that part into this:

6.Type (10): The harder to make a type of landspeeder, the higher the points for this part.

But why do you 'say' that after a WEEK?

Hey from what I have seen the kid is doing pretty good. He has clear rules, expectations, and a grading system. He even offered to give an example of what he wanted. He is doing everything he should. Lay off him.

No that is just clearly showing his expectations in a visual format. Most contests have started doing it to clear up confusion. It is not self advertising it is just smart.

It's very nice to hear I've made a good contest but you don't need to defend me, OK?

Um, perhaps you should just say "thanks for the heads-up". The way you said it, it sounds like sarcasm. BTW, mine is now up.

I normally don't use sarcasm but I understand what you mean. I'm also going to count all of your (as in the plural form) points, BTW!
