First off, thank you all for your patience in awaiting your scores. I know none of you have any fingernails left so we'll get right to it.

I'll be posting the round two thread with the categories in a few minutes. To those that made it to round two, congratulations and... it's only going to get harder from here.

To those going to the MIT, again, congrats to you as well and good luck!

To those that didn't make the MIT, thank you SO much for your entry! It's not about the score, or winning, it's about the fact that you stepped up and entered.

Obviously your build was not good enough to pass into the MIT's. It's not the judges' fault, you are getting an opinion of your build from somebody else. If you don't like a judge's opinion, don't enter a contest. Simple.

Maybe instead of complaining, you can ask nicely about what you could have done better.

Well dude....you did admit you didn't build your entry until the last day. You pretty much gave every a 9 day advantage. Pay attention to the dates man!!! (Except for when the judges say they'll have the judging done by a certain date....always add a few days!) :P

Losing in round 1 does not mean you're a bad builder, you must not see it that way.
Remember, only 64 builders can go to round 2, it is only evident that a lot of people lose this round.

Happy Birthday! Sorry to hear that you will not be competing in the MIT, but I could use another judge...interested? No problem if you're not, fantastic if you are. Thanks!~H

Hans… Now that I have finished ‘beating myself up’, ‘crying my eyes out’, mentally ‘punching out’ several judges(one in particular)... all part of my grieving process. I can return to my normal logical, somewhat sane self. That logical self can appreciate the spirit in which your offer to be an MIT judge was made. But, what kind of precedence does it set, when someone who is so obviously ‘dumped’ is then allowed to be a judge over some that are very close in standing to her? Do not misunderstand me, I happen to think I would make a great judge, but not under these circumstances. Much as I would enjoy teaming up with you and the other judges, I regretfully must decline your offer, but I very much thank you! :)

*looks around*

Hey, don't look at me, I gave her a decent score.

(and in the spirit of good sportsmanship, no, I will not reveil the score I gave her (or anyone else for that matter)).

I would however like to take this opportunity to point out that Stovetop's feelings are perfectly normal. It's hard to be judged by your peers in any manner.

I would also like to say to her (and all of you) "thank you" for taking your score graciously.

There were two players who, after receiving their score, packed up and left town (ie: deleted their accounts) which is why we now have 148 entries instead of 150.

Thank you Stovetop. And personally, I think you would have kicked all form of (bleep) in the MIT AND... would have made an awesome judge!

Not the first time that's happened though....

I'd be sad, but come on! At least you get into the MIT! (which, in some cases, gives you a better chance)

Well dude....you did admit you didn't build your entry until the last day. You pretty much gave every a 9 day advantage. Pay attention to the dates man!!! (Except for when the judges say they'll have the judging done by a certain date....always add a few days!) :P

Edit: At least you get to head to the MITs!

I didn't build my entry until the last day also :P

Exactly and it was a close call, you shouldn't be so proud about it,
I'd remove that smirk if I were you, hehehe

I'm not proud about it, I was sick and didn't feel up to building, and I could've done better if I spent more time on it. Thats why I'm starting my Round 2 entry today ;)

Anyone leaving this competition a better builder than what he/she started it is a winner, and has gained more value than any Lego set. Anyone who is not ready to take constructive criticism is not ready for this type of competition.
I heartily agree with you, Thoy. Please know that I wasn't trying to insult or demean Ben with my comment. Ben is a former MocAthalon teammate of mine and a good friend; I was just trying to cheer him up, as I know he couldn't build in this year's contest due to school. Apologies to all (especially Ben) if my comment sounded rude.

Paul, don't feel bad about what you said, maybe just add one of these :P next time. I was more offended by Thoy's comment than yours honeslty. Though I'm sure that he meant it with the best intentions and misunderstood your comment. And just for the record Thoy, If you have read my page you would know I absolutely love and treasure any and all constructive criticism. The true reason I didn't enter is because I have a lot going on right now. I have a lot of homework along with drumline and band practice and I am in the fall play. I could have done a sloppy job and finished on time and be unsatisfied with it because I don't feel it would have represented my skill as a builder accurately, or I could do what I am doing and finish it late, but be happy with what I did. The latter of which I find to be more respectable. I am truly dissapointed I couldn't enter in the fabulous contest once more, but there is always next year! I look forward to spectating though. Hopefully that clears some stuff up :P

Whoah! This is like inception! I misundertood you and thought you misunderstood Paul! Anyways, sorry if I overreacted about that/seemed mad. Its all just one big misunderstanding. And good luck to you Thoy, along with Justin, Paul, and even Sebeus! Just because he's a judge doesn't mean he has got it any easier than us :P

Does it really matter? You already know the score anyway, getting the little comment isn't going to change anything, unless you want it in hopes of an extra "like"

Hey hey there sparky... easy on the caps lock.

I was supposed to try to fill in the missing scores this weekend but just haven't had time. I'm sorry that it's not there now but you do at least know your score. There were a number of mocs that didn't get their scores posted on them and I will get to them as I can, it's just secondary on my priorities list right now.
