Welcome to Blogged by the Big Three!

This idea is robbed from Flickr, where there are groups for those lucky enough to be have been featured on the main LEGO blogs.

MOCpages was missing this somehow, and I know LOTS of you have featured on the famous LEGO blogs. So now we have somewhere to post blogged creations too : )

Please only add the actual creation/s that has/have been blogged by either The Brothers Brick, BrickNerd or The Lego Car Blog. Once added, post a link to your featured work in one of three 'Blogged' topics.

Please DON'T start any new conversation topics. That way we can keep the 'Blogged' threads at the top. If you think we're missing a topic, you can request it in this thread.

Once your creation is added you can also add the group logo to your homepage or the blogged MOC's page.

If you've featured on ALL THREE blogs, let us know here and you'll be awarded Moderator status.

And finally... Congratulations!

Excellent idea, I'm sure this group will do well. How did you choose the "Big Three"? I mean, TBB is obvious, but the other two have me slightly stumped. Still, an excellent idea, and the blogs are well chosen, if not perfectly chosen.

Thanks LCVTR.

These are the three blogs that seem to be mentioned the most on MOCpages in people's posts, but I'm sure others would maybe say another three. Hopefully these three cover all types of builds though.

The other 'big' blog is Eurobricks, but most of the MOCs there feature in the forum, and are often self-posted, so I decided not to include it.

Hi Ape thanks for the invite, great idea for a group. I have been very lucky with blogs so I have one or two to add. I will add a few at a time. I am hoping to start my next car soon. Definitely back on the Car mocs. Your latest sounds HUGE, I can’t wait to see it. Are you considering a WIP post?

OK all. It looks like BrickPop is dead : ( Annoying for me as it was the first blog that published me!

So, I think Eurobricks is probably the most appropriate replacement. My only reservation is that the Eurobricks forums can be used so self-publicise a MOC.

What do people think? Any other suggestions as to a new no.3 (or should we just be 2?!)

In all seriousness I've noticed there's a blog called 'Bricknerd' that has been blogging a few things recently. I don't know it very well but seeing as it's been active recently it could be a potential replacement?

OK, due to the possible moderation issue of comments containing a link to Bricknerd, I've asked for some help via the 'MOCpages Help' group. If Bricknerd is a moderation trigger it'll be a royal pain to have as our new 'no3', even though I agree it's probably the most appropriate site to include on our list.

Unless someone replies BN is unfortunately not an option.

I wonder if you could use the BN banner/logo on the group's icon, as you do with others at the moment, but just refer to it as BrickNe*d in text? People would all know which blog you were refering to. I suppose the problem would be the modration of happy and excited folk saying stuff like, "Wow! I just saw that this got blogged on BrickNe8d!".

This problem seems rather silly. The N3rd word on its own could be used in an offensive manner (so could "offensive" if you're not playing Decisive Action!) but it's a real surprise that the name of the blog is banned. It would be hard to use this compound word in a rude way, or do I just lack imagination? Is this a problem with the system? Could you report it here, as the Moderators haven't replied to your forum posts: http://www.mocpages.com/support.php Then again, you don't want to be exiled from the 'pages!

BN Latest:

Mr Phipson kindly got back to our request, sadly whilst he agrees the word in his opinion is OK, it must still remain on the naughty list.

So we have three options:

1. Appoint more Admins (although surely 'mods' can moderate?) to share the job of moderating, but if any fall inactive / go on holiday etc, no new posts for BN will show up

2. Have BN as the chosen blog but ask people NOT to link to it, but to link ONLY to their MOC, where they can put a link if they wish

3. Have another blog as no.3 - probably Eurobricks' Mainpage

Opinions on the above welcomed.

Oh i see, it's right. It works correct, but since the comments don't work with HTML, that means that it sees the " after the url as part of the url, which is required for the HTML to work.

if you copy the code and put it on your page it'll work just fine.

I think your solution with the homepage is the best.

I have an additional suggestion: Instead of the link to BN you can add a link to the part of your homepage where you put the links to your blogged models.

To do that you only have to add a name tag on your homepage. It's made like a link with the <a></a> tag, you only put a variable name=... instead of (or additionally to) href=... in the tag. I have done that on my homepage: http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/80625#blog

Just click and you'll get directly to my little "Hall of Fame"

OK, I'll try: If you know how to write a link in HTML, it's quite easy. You just replace the "href" variable by a "name" variable.

For example, this can be the code of the headline of your chapter:
<a name=gogogo>HERE</a>
If the name of the HTML page is "page.html" then a link to "page.html#gogogo" will lead to the page right to the chapter with the headline "HERE" on top of the screen.

You can see this on my homepage:
http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/80625#blog
Just take a look at the source code of my homepage at line 237. The link "#blog" leads to the horizontal "bar" displayed by the tag <hr noshade>.

Can you give an example of the code you'll use? I tried to follow your instructions, but it didn't work.

It's a real honnour to become a Moderator of this group: thank you! Thanks too to the various bloggers who've chosen my creations. I'll do my best to help police the comments on the hotbed of profanity that is the "Blogged!" group :)

Please only add the actual creation/s that has/have been blogged by either The Brothers Brick, BrickPop or The Lego Car Blog.

Theres a new blog on the scene:

Just a question - I've had a contest that has been blogged, along with someone's creation ( see herehttp://thelegocarblog.com/2014/02/12/fifteen-pieces-of-fame/) so, does that mean I can stay in the group? Also, I'm sorry for joining numerous times before, I did read the rules at all, and, not knowing any blogs, I assumed it was another big and popular group. ^_^ So I'm sorry for doing this.

No problem Sam. Yes, as your group has been blogged you are a welcome member of the 'Blogged!' group : ) Please remember though, that only creations that have been blogged can be added to the group pool.

Thanks Ape. Yeah, after what's happened I had an intensive read of the rules. ;D I don't think I'll have any MOCs too add, as I don't think I quite have the skills yet, and I mostly work with LDD. Thanks again Ape, I appreciate the quick reply.
