Since this is a Christian group, I wanted to do some investigating:

Out of the Fifty members here so far:
9 mentioned they were Christian but never advertised it. (I let people who said verses slide in here.)
16 advertised they were Christian be it the Cross or the 4% (Someone didn't use either but said they were proud so that counts with where I'm going with this.)
1 I couldn't view because of a Title Hidden thing (GRRR I might add.)
and 20 didn't even mention being Christian at all.
Somehow my math gives us 46 people, and I'm not quite sure how, quite possibly a typing error when I was making tally marks, but that is beside the point of my uber comment.

This is really surprising to me. I actually expected a lot more of the Cross and 4% stuff. I'm very delighted to see this. I'm not saying that the stuff you put on your pages is wrong becasue even I have a cross, but I'm amazed a lot of you don't mention a thing. I actually kind of like that. I like it because I've met many people on MOCpages who really hate Christians with a passion. They are always saying we are shoving Christianity down their throats. I don't like that, but the sad part is that it is true.

All of you guys with the 4%'s, Crosses, and even verses are doing that. You guys make it sound like we are better than everyone else which is most assuredly not true. We still mess up and make mistakes, and I believe that everyone that is doing what I listed previously are making a mistake, well at least the 4% and Cross advertisements. Bible Verses are hard to call which is why I added them in the No Advertise list. The 4% is also a little rocky because that is more of a message to other Chrisitans but it targets all teens and half of them probably don't even believe or don't know what to believe in the first place. The main thing I have always heard though is the Cross.

The cross is what I have a problem with to which is why I made my own. I am actually kind of curious as to where it originated that if you are a Christian on the Internet, put this on every page and say you are PROUD to be one. That is such a poor word to use. Here is one definition and the way it is being used here: feeling pleasure or satisfaction over something regarded as highly honorable or creditable to oneself.

In one of the 1 Chorinthians Chapter 13 it says that Love is not proud. Cristians are all about Love and yet we say we are proud to be Christians. I don't believe that is right. We are to love everyone, no matter who they are and we are to not put ourselves above them for who we are. Jesus exampled that at the feet washing just before the Last Supper by showing that no man is above the other on Earth. The master serving the servants. We are all equal. Jesus said that if we are ashamed of Him, He is ashamed of us and that is where the 4% came into play I think, but the focus here is more on the Cross. That is why I made my Cross different than everyone elses by making my own design and a different message. I wanted to stand out and say that I was not ashamed of being a Christian. Underneath I even said that I don't believe proud is appropriate because it is degrading to those who aren't.

Now please don't take what I'm about to say as being offensive. The crosses that everyone just copies and pastes is really not good looking. Many people have it all out of wack because they copied it incorrectly or they coppied it from another bad one. It just doesn't look good. I'm perfectly fine with people having a cross on their homepage, but it needs to look good, and not be the same as everyone elses. Change the design and change the message. Even just simply change the 'proud' to 'not ashamed.' Just change it up, make it better, hey, even copy mine *wink* but just don't forget that proud is more offensive than just saying you are a Christian when a non-believer reads it.

I am very curious to see what you guys think about all that I have said. Also, when you are replying, delete all the text from above or else this page will triple in length.

Thanks for the invite guys! This is a really great idea for a group. MCLegoboy.....wow, that is quite a post! I think you touched on some good points in there and backed it up with scripture. I don't think you would offend anyone with that, as none of it was presented in an inflammatory manner. As for the stats, I fit into the group that has no advertisement of my faith on the pages. I have always believed that my actions will reveal my character and others of faith would recognize that. I have also always believed in the humility of Christianity. So, based on those two facets of my belief, I don't advertise my faith, but will openly discuss it when warranted. I'd like to think that perhaps some comments or actions that I have taken on the pages led to my invitation here, but then again it may just be coincidence!

Yeah, Justin said he just invited a ton of people, so I guess that you were cool with joining or something. Thanks for understanding. I never quite had such an understanding on my faith until a few years ago when I went on a Mission Trip to Jackson Mississippi with my Youth Group. I'd grown up my whole life at Church and Private Christian Schools so I always knew it but never truely got it.

Perfectly said, MCLegoboy. So many people say their Christianís and put so many different crosses and other images on their homepage. But most of the time they either don't live it out or they think that their higher and or better then everyone else. Some say weíre better then everyone, that's not true at all.

As Christianís we all make mistakes, in other words; Christianís and non Christianís alike all make wrong choices here and there. We're all the same basically. We just have a different mind-set and view on things.

But as Christianís, it's our job to tell others who don't know the love of Jesus Christ about Him and his amazing heart he has for us. We all need to try and plant that seed in their heart. Most people who are not following God are always watching us closely. That's why it's our job to do what's right and be nice and considerate of others.

People are always watching us even when we don't think so. Be an example!

Because in the Bible it says: We love, because He (as in God) first loved us.

Spread the love you guys and be exampleís:D

Anyway, I agree with you on pretty much everything you said, and I appreciate that you bothered to type it all out. I hope that this is an indicator that this group will be able to get real instead of being another "lol ikr" kind of group, though there's nothing wrong with that kind of group. i feel what MClegoboy says. im a christian and proud of it, but i wont force it down anyones throats. as with most people i know who calss themselves as christians (both practising and non practising), they dont let their religion define them, in much the same way that my skin colour doesnt define me, nor do my tattoos. my definition is me as a whole.

good to be able to chat lego and life with fellow christians as in england, christianity seems to be disregarded more and more these days.

A very good question, Reynolds! This group isn't just a contest, but here and there we do one. All you have to do is give a link to the contest in your entry so us judges know it's for that. Hope that helps, Justin.

This is a common way to do it. Title the creation whatever you want, then at the end, say the contest name. Also, what Justin said, then add your creation's URL to a conversation thread.

When a group is first created, most likely there'll be a nice amount of activity and action going on. When a group is rarely active anymore, it takes quite a few members to get it going again. So basically what I am saying is, everyone be more active, letís get this group to what it once was on the activity level! :D

It's a tragic thing, but God always has a meaning for what He does and why He does it.

He's always testing our faith in Him for a reason. So many people blame this kind of thing on God saying "He's the one who did it", "It's his fault", that's not necessarily true.

In Romans 3:3 it says: "For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?" I think God puts these kinds of things in our lives to really see who believes in Him, and if they donít believe in Him, it could be an opportunity for them to see Godís true power so they possibly repent of their sins and become a Believer.

But yes, definitely be praying for everyone who has been affected by this Hurricane and the people helping rebuild what has been broken.

Yes I agree ; there is always a reason for why He does whatever He does. We just have to accept this is the way of the Lord and that, although we may not know the reason, there is one...

Lego TNMT has been known about for about half the year already.

I don't like that George sold Lucasfilm but I knew he wasn't doing it for the money as he already has a ton of it, but pass it on to someone within the corporation, don't sell it. I may not like it, but by 2020 we'll have a full story of the Skywalker stuff, which is not right because VI is such a complete ending that expanding is pointless to me, but whatever. I wouldn't mind Star Wars movies every now and then though because they wouldn't be about the Saga, it would be about other stuff I have no knowledge of so it may become interesting. Who knows...

I don't understand why some people in christian settings (churches, groups, etc.) start talking too seriously for the occasion. You know, such as 'as will I', 'thou', etc. These are appropriate for some things, but for a casual christian meeting, why not talk normally? I'm not saying this about anybody in particular, just some people in the world seem to do that. My random rant is over now.
