This is our next new contest for all you new guys and older members. Sorry I could not get this up earier, I hade finals for my first semester of college, and everyone gave project assignment things. Anywho...
The Useless Piece Contest. Everyone should have at least some piece that is seemingly useless and has never used in a MOC before. Well, we want to see you use it. It can be anything from an Ugly Rock Piece to a Viking Ship hull to that crazy looking Skull Head used to make Squidward's house. Or, it can even be a piece that's only been in a very srange color and in limited quantity that you've thought you would never be able to use in anything, like trans-neon orange dragon wings, what the heck are you supposed to do with those things?!
You will be scored with a total of 25 points.
Oddness of the piece(s): 5
How uncommon is it? How weird is it?
Use of the piece(s): 10
Did you use the piece for it's intended purpose, or did you really think outside the box?
Focus of the piece(s): 5
Does it stand out in the MOC? Is it the main structure? What part in the MOC does it play?
Build Quality: 5
Does it actually look like anything?
A total of 25 points.
Okay, so now the details.
Your MOC has to be a NEW Creation to MOCpages because there is a time frame.
There are NO size restrictions, so you could make something that takes up half you desk.
There is no link required to come back to the group, but if you would like to practice using HTML, you are more than welcome.
There is still a required link though. It is to go to Bricklink, to your exact piece being used. This gives reference to rarity, function, oddness if it is within a build and we cannot see the whole thing, and stuff like that. NOTE: It would be very helpful if you did not try and do this in the Introduction portion, HTML does not work there. It would also be nice to be a working link so there is no copying and pasting.
The contest will begin now and end at 11:59 PM Friday, December 28th, 2012. Your creation needs to be here by then.
Finally, add a link in this conversation to your entry when you are ready to turn it in. Just adding it to the group's pool of creations is not very helpful because sometimes more than one contest is happening at the same time, and we aren't requiring a specific title for your entry.
Happy building!
